So I guess you’ve probably been looking for the latest and best setups in ACC around Laguna Seca but struggled to find any good one?
We all know how essential having a great car setup in Assetto Corsa Competizione is, especially in such a high technical track as Laguna Seca.
All circuits need a custom-made setup and this track is no different especially considering its anti-clockwise layout.
In fact you’ll need to readjust the tire pressures and camber to make sure they fit according to it.
For instance, you’d wanna have lower tire pressure on the right-hand side tires to avoid overheating and higher cambers to give more lateral grip in the corners.
Viceversa you’d wanna run higher tire pressure on the left-hand side and lower cambers since not as many corners will be to the right.
Driving fast around Laguna Seca with a BMW M4 GT3
The key to being fast around here is by making sure you’re strong on the brakes and good on the exit of the corners.
In fact the track is filled with medium to low-speed corners and the important thing is to a monster under braking by being late and hard plus aggressive on downshifts.
Imagine if you could gain half a tenth in each and every braking, how would your lap times look like?
Next thing you want to do is to straighten up the car at the apex to go ASAP to full throttle.
You can really make quite some difference and I assure you the car will stick (if you’ve got a good setup).
USe all the traction from the car and consider playing around with the TC settings as well as the rear anti-roll bar stiffness (softer means better traction) to achieve that goal.
