Driving fast around COTA with the BMW M4 GT4
For you to be fast around COTA with the BMW M4 GT4 you’ll need to have lots of traction as well as a very strong front-end to be quick in the changes of direction.
In addition to that, you’ll want to run medium downforce in the car as it will help you carry lots of momentum in all the high-speed corners.
Run the front splitter at 0 and the rear wing at 12 and then consider bringing it down to 10 to see if you can handle it and perhaps improve your straight line speed without hurting the balance.
In terms of anti-roll bars you’ll want to run pretty soft overall in order to get great mechanical grip and allow you to effortlessly run over the kerbs without losing the car.
For a qualifyng configuration, run aRB 4 on the front and aRB 2 on the rear to generate plenty of traction without also getting too much understeer while approaching the apex.
The BMW GT4 is usually pretty strong in terms of mechanical grip so you’ll be able to focus more on improving the downforce.
Having said that, once you’re setup is good enough, make sure you then spend some days relentlessly practicing and improving your driving.
That will get you faster lap times and pay really good dividends in your sim racing career.
