ACC COTA Setup: Lexus RC-F GT3

Have you been looking around for the latest and best setups in Assetto Corsa Competizione but struggled to find any good one?

We all know how essential having a great GT3 car setup in ACC is, especially in such a high demanding track like Circuit of the Americas (COTA).

The Austin-based circuit is home to some of the most demanding corners in the world of motorsport, especially the fast section of sector 1 & 2 where you’ll need to clip the kerbs perfectly to rotate the car nicely and gain precious time.

This means that every little detail matters when it comes to setting up your GT3 car for success here.

We’ve put together a setup guide that will surely help you get your Lexus RC-F GT3 around COTA quicker than ever before.

Driving fast around COTA with the Lexus RC-F GT3

For you to be quick around COTA with a Lexus RC-F you’ll have to run medium to low downforce in order to be really fast in the esses of sector 1 & 2 while still carrying a good amount speed onto the main straights.

If you don’t mind feeling a little less downforce in the high speed corners, then you could reduce the rear wing even further to gain some precious top speed and therefore lap time down the straights.

Run the front splitter at 0 and the rear wing at 8 and then consider dropping it to 6 to see if you can handle it and perhaps improve your lap time.

In terms of anti roll bars you’ll want to run quite stiff overall in order to get a fairly reactive car in the change of directions.

Front aRB 7 and Rear aRB 5 should be good enough to generate lots of mechanical grip and rotation without getting too much oversteer from the car.

The Lexus is ususally pretty fast on the straights so you can focus more on getting a high mechanical grip from the car.

Having said that, once you’re setup is good enough, make sure you then spend some days relentlessly practicing and improving your driving.

That will get you faster lap times and pay great dividends in your sim racing career.
