So I guess you’ve probably been looking for the latest and best setups in ACC around Silverstone but struggled to find any good one?
We all know how essential having a great car setup in Assetto Corsa Competizione is, especially in such a high demanding track like Silverstone.
How many times have your heard sim racers blame their setups for bad performance?
I heard a lot of them and to be frank, I can’t disagree with them if the setups they run on are just poor and unoptimized.
So let’s say you don’t want to blame your car setups for bad performance, and you finally found or bought yourself a Silverstone pro setup that seems pretty good. What next?
Next, you’ll have to practice on it like crazy.
Assetto Corsa Competizione Silverstone Setup – McLaren GT3
Driving fast at Silverstone in ACC Gt3
The key to being ultra-quick in Silverstone is to always be strong in the high speed and medium-speed corners since that’s where the laptime is made here.
Think about sector’s 2 Maggots and Beckets where all you want to is to carry in as much speed as possible while at the same time exiting like a rocket into the straight.
So that’s what I would mainly focus in terms of driving.
In terms of setup, a good aero balance will be needed in order for you to have stability and speed in sector 2 but you’ll also need a great deal of camber to carry more speed in Sector 1.
Traction will also be a key focus point even though it shouldn’t be your main priority since Aero and camber will be the main areas to optimize.
