So I guess you’ve probably been looking for the latest and best setups in ACC around Paul Ricard but struggled to find any good one?
We all know how important it is to have great car setups in Assetto Corsa Competizione, especially in such a demanding track like Paul Ricard.
All those high-speed corners followed by long straights can seriously affect your performance if the setup isn’t quite right.
And I can tell that with confidence since I’ve raced around Paul Ricard with the AMG GT3 for real in 2020 at the SRO GT World Challange championship.
The focus was always on carrying lots of speed into the corners but also to focus on getting clean exits for all those long straights in sectors 2 and 3.
Driving fast around Paul Ricard in ACC Gt3
If you wanna be fast around here, you’ll have to commit yourself to getting a professional setup and then adapt your driving appropriately to that.
You’ll see that the best setups will oftentimes be more oversteery and unstable on the rear, but will allow you at the same time to be more precise and quicker in the middle of the corners.
That will shrink the lap time by quite a lot, but of course the car is a bit more tricky and you’ll have to learn how to deal with it.
So having said that, try to learn driving with a bit of oversteer and your lap times will improve a lot, not only for Paul Ricard but for any track in general.
