So I guess you’ve probably been looking for the latest and best setups in ACC around Kyalami but struggled to find any good one?
We all know how essential having a great car setup in Assetto Corsa Competizione is, especially in such a high demanding track like Kyalami.
Not only will it make you faster on the single lap, but also give you ton more confidence and peace of mind in improving your driving.
I’m pretty confident that anyone switching from diy to pro setups can instantly see a 3 – 4 tenths laptime improvement.
You might not think that’s a lot, but try calculating how many seconds you would win over the course of an endurance GT3 race.
Driving fast around Kyalami in ACC GT3
Being an anti-clockwise circuit, it actually represents some real challenges both in terms of driving and car tuning.
You’d wanna set the tire pressure inverted from what you’d normally do in clockwise circuits since the right-hand side tires will now heat up and wear more than the ones on the left-hand side.
That’s the same for cambers and dampers settings.
From a driver’s perspective, you’d only want to look after the tires more on the right-hand side so that you can keep them “alive” longer until the end of the race stint.
Other than that always focus on braking deep into the corner and focus on getting the apex kerbs all the time to help the car rotate more.
