Driving fast around Watkins Glen with the Chevrolet GT4

For you to be quick around Watkins Glen with the Chevrolet GT4 you’ll want to have lots of traction as well as a very strong front-end to be unbeatable in the changes of direction.

Moreover, you’ll have to run medium-to-high downforce as it will help you carry way more momentum in all the medium-speed corners also considering that it won’t affect your top-end speed too much with such short straights.

Set the front splitter at 0 and the rear wing at 12 and then consider bringing it down to 9 to see if you can handle it and maybe maximize your straight-line speed without hurting the traction.

In terms of anti-roll bars you’ll want to be quite soft overall in order to get quite a lot of mechanical grip and allow you to smoothly drive over the kerbs without losing the rear-end.

For a qualifyng configuration, run aRB 5 on the front and aRB 2 on the rear to generate lots of traction without also getting too much understeer by the apex.

The Chevrolet is usually one of the quickest GT4 cars on the straight so you could focus more on improving its aerodynamics and overall mechanical grip.

Having said that, once you’re setup is fast enough, make sure you then spend a few hours relentlessly practicing and improving your driving technique.

That will get you faster lap times and pay really good dividends in your sim racing career.
