If you’re serious to learn about why telemetry analysis is so important to compete at the highest levels in go kart racing then read on, this article might be exactly what you’re looking for!
Here’s the summary of why telemetry (or data) analysis is so important:
- Makes you faster if done properly
- Gets you to think about what you’re doing
- Get conscious about your strengths and work harder on your weeknesses
- Gets you ready for Gt or Formula cars

Let’s get started with the main reason why I focus so much on telemetry analysis and why you should too.
#1 Makes you faster if done properly
So what’s the point with telemetry analysis?
Is it just a fancy technological way to brag about how good I drove certain corners?
Or how my team mates are finally able to make fun about me by mentioning how bad I drive Turn 7?
Not at all…
The main reason why you chose to do it, or that you’re team forced you, is to make you FASTer.
Nothing else.
And you do that by comparing yourself against your team mates that hopefully will be good enough to hand you some useful data.
Obviously if you’re team mates are like 2 seconds off, then comparing your data against them makes no sense at all since you might even get slower.
But if who you’re comparing yourself against is faster or as fast as you, then oftentimes you’ll be able to pick up some real gems that will help you to get faster.
#2 Gets you to think about what you’re doing
#3 Get conscious about your strengths and work harder on your weeknesses
#4 Gets you ready for Gt or Formula cars
