The Heusinkveld DisplayDash is a button box with a touchscreen built into its face. It costs 389 euros with VAT in the EU, it works with SimHub on PC, and on 29 October 2026 it is still not on sale. Heusinkveld's product page says it will be available mid-October 2026 once the last parts arrive, and the shop does not list it yet.

The idea is simple and good. Every rotary and button has its current value and its job shown on the screen right above it. TC 1, ABS 5, front bar, brake bias. No stickers, no guessing which knob you mapped to what three cars ago.

Checked on 29 October 2026 on Heusinkveld's own DisplayDash page and news posts, with Traxion's report of 3 July 2026 for the August date. For the rest of what Heusinkveld showed this autumn, see my Heusinkveld One SC page.

What it does that a button box does not

A normal button box gives you switches. You map them, then you remember them, or you put a label maker to work. The trouble starts when you change car. The rotary that was traction control in the GT3 is now nothing in the LMP2, or something else entirely.

The DisplayDash puts the screen behind the controls. SimHub knows which game and car you are in, so the label and the current value above each rotary can change with it. You turn the TC knob and you see the number move right where your hand is, not on a dash at the other end of the rig.

That is how a real car works, by the way. On a GT3 wheel the TC and ABS switches are labelled, and the dash shows the new value when you click. You never take your eyes far from the road to know where you are.

The top of the screen doubles as a normal SimHub dashboard: gaps, lap times, fuel, a track map. So it can replace a small separate dash too.

Price

389 euros with 21% VAT for buyers in the EU, 324 euros without VAT for everyone else, plus shipping and any local taxes. Heusinkveld does not show a US dollar price.

389 euros is a lot for a button box. But it is a button box, a dash and the labelling job in one aluminium unit, and the cheaper way to get the same thing (a box plus a tablet or a small screen) means more cables, more mounting and more SimHub work.

Release date

The date has slipped twice, from spring to August to mid-October, and the latest one has passed. This is everything Heusinkveld has said.

WhenWhat Heusinkveld said
15 January 2026Revealed, "available for shopping this spring"
April 2026A redesign: slimmer bezels, a larger screen, full aluminium body, brighter LEDs, a new function layer. Still on schedule for late spring
2 July 2026On X, per Traxion: moved to August, for final design optimisation and testing
Latest product pageWaiting for the final deliveries before assembly, available mid-October 2026 if nothing unexpected comes up
29 October 2026A search of the Heusinkveld shop returns no DisplayDash product

Heusinkveld does not take pre-orders. When it goes on sale it will be a normal product in the shop. If you want to know the day, the product page has a sign up for a notification.

Compatibility

SimHub on PC, and nothing else. Heusinkveld says it supports existing SimHub dashboards and custom ones, and that dashboard designers will support it too.

So the games it works with are the games SimHub works with. SimHub's own list includes iRacing, ACC, Le Mans Ultimate, Assetto Corsa, rFactor 2, Automobilista 2 and F1 25. What the labels can show depends on what each sim sends out. A game that does not export the TC level cannot show you the TC level, however good the screen is.

Not on a console. Heusinkveld says PC only. SimHub can read the telemetry of a few console games over the network, F1 25 among them, but the DisplayDash plugs into the PC that runs SimHub, not into the console, so its buttons would not reach the game. I would not buy one for a console rig.

If you have never used SimHub, start with my SimHub beginner guide. The DisplayDash only makes sense once you are happy in it.

Who it is for

Buy it if you race on PC in cars with a lot of in-car adjustment: GT3 and GTE with TC, TC2, ABS and engine maps, LMP and hypercars with hybrid modes, modern F1 cars. If you swap between those cars every week, the live labels save real time and real mistakes.

Skip it if you mostly drive one car, or cars with little to adjust. A plain button box or the buttons on your wheel do the same job for a fraction of the money. And if you already have a tablet on the rig, a SimHub dash on the tablet covers half of what this does. I explain that route in using a Windows tablet as a button box.

Wait if you need it this month. It is not in the shop, and the date has already slipped twice.

For dashboards without the controls, see my sim racing dashboard guide.
