The IMSA Esports Global Championship is back for a second edition, joining forces once again with VCO Esports, iRacing, and Michelin.

Following a four-round season in late 2022, the American sportscar sanctioning body is excited to continue this collaboration.

IMSA Esports Global Championship 2023 Schedule

The Michelin Endurance Cup rounds in the IMSA SportsCar Championship are scheduled as follows:

  • Rd 1: Road Atlanta on 5th November
  • Rd 2: Watkins Glen on 12th November
  • Rd 3: Sebring on 3rd December
  • Rd 4: Daytona Road Course on 16th December

Each round lasts 160 minutes and takes place on one of the four tracks.

Unveiling the GTP Class for the 2023 Season

The official IMSA Esports Global Championship has embraced the GTP class of cars from the real-world IMSA SportsCar Championship in iRacing for its upcoming 2023 season.

In the previous season, teams of two competed in the GTD and Touring Car classes, with Apex’s Kevin Ellis Jr and Alejandro Sánchez claiming the GTD victory and SimRC’s Corentin Guinez and Kieran Harrison taking the Touring Car title.

However, for the upcoming season, the Touring Car class will be replaced by the GTP class, bringing more excitement to the IMSA Esports Global Championship.

Latest IMSA eSports Updates

In the upcoming season, the top class in the IMSA series will introduce four new cars: the BMW M Hybrid V8, Cadillac V-Series.R, Porsche 963, and Acura ARX-06.

These cars will join the GTD class, which includes the BMW M4 GT3, Mercedes-AMG GT3 2020, Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO, Porsche 911 GT3 R (992), and Ferrari 296 GT3.

Prestigious Teams Joining

Notable teams such as Team Redline, BS+COMPETITION, Williams Esports, Coanda Esports, and reigning champions Apex Racing Team will be competing.
