Need for Speed Unbound Update: New Cars, Bug Fixes, and More!

The latest update for Need for Speed Unbound doesn’t come with a celebration, but that might be a good thing. While Vol 4’s Porsche 75 celebration may have been a distraction, the overall update left players underwhelmed. However, Vol 5 introduces two exciting new cars to Lakeshore City.

Need for Speed Unbound Update: New Cars, Bug Fixes, and More!

Players can unlock the 1987 Buick Grand National GNX by reaching rank 50, and the 2023 BMW M2 Coupe is available as a challenge reward. Don’t miss out on these awesome additions!

Vol 5 introduces new cars and includes all 14 Linkup Areas from Vols 3 and 4. In these areas, up to 16 players can complete objectives to earn valuable bank.

But the best part of Vol 5 is the bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements, addressing the issues that have plagued Need for Speed Unbound since day one. These fixes are expected to rejuvenate the game and give it a fresh start.

Quality-of-Life Improvements

Criterion’s Vol 5 release focuses on fixing game issues that have been affecting players. The update addresses challenges not completing properly, overlays not disappearing, and cosmetic car issues while cruising. With minimal new features, the emphasis is on resolving these problems for a better gaming experience.

Quality-of-Life Improvements

Vol 5 for Need for Speed Unbound brings quality-of-life improvements. The Wrap Editor now includes masking decal functionality. Multiplayer Boosted Events and Linkups have been tweaked to minimize downtime.

While it doesn’t introduce a lot of new content, we’re optimistic that it will breathe new life into the game. Need for Speed Unbound still has potential, and Vol 5 could be the game-changer it needs.

Update Release

This week, on 12 October, Need for Speed Unbound Vol 5 will be released for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Make sure to check out the complete patch notes for Need for Speed Unbound Vol 5.
