iRacing fans have been anticipating the base version update of VIRginia International Raceway, and the wait is finally over.
Wednesday 21st December saw the release of 2023 Season 1 Patch 1 containing this much-awaited re-scan.
Sim racers worldwide will now be able to experience improved graphics and sharper details when racing on this popular NASCAR track, thanks to the work captured in this new virtual re-scan.
And that’s awesome considering how popoular the Virginia track is in NASCAR and in iRacing’s community.
After months of anticipation, VIR is finally releasing its newest build.
Just bear in mind that replays on the old track will no longer be accessible, just as it happened with Phoenix last year.
With this new version, you’ll experience a shiny factor that was teased during the lead up to its unveiling in late November.
What else comes with the update patch?
Let’s now have a look at the other features included in the new patch.
Other than the VIR scan, iRacing Season 1 users will also find updates to features such as Start Zones, Active Reset and the New Damage Model.
AI Racing will be a featured in the upcoming VIR edition, with upgraded graphics that include night racing.
This update basically fixes any previously existing issues with the build.
After this patch it is now the perfect time to visit Lucas Oil Speedway, one of the newly added dirt oval tracks for 2022.
With night lighting enabled, iRacers can experience true racing and take advantage of all that this venue has to offer – just like they would at any other prominent dirt oval facility!
