The Asetek GT Nova is a 290 mm GT wheel with a 1.3 inch OLED screen, priced at €299.99 including VAT or $299.99 before US sales tax, and Asetek says it releases in March 2027. It was shown at the SimRacing Expo in October 2026.

It is a mid priced GT wheel, the kind most people actually race with. Here is what is on it and who should wait for it.

Checked on 26 October 2026 on Asetek's own GT Nova and DD10 pages. Everything on this page is from those pages unless I say otherwise. For the rest of what was shown at the show, see my SimRacing Expo 2026 page.

What stands out

Settings on the wheel. Asetek says you can change force feedback, steering range, damping and more straight from the wheel, using the screen. That matters more than it sounds. Being able to soften the force or change the lock without leaving the car is the difference between fixing a setting and putting up with it for the rest of the session.

MultiLink. The left rotary switch picks one of up to 12 settings and the left thumb encoder changes it, with the name shown on the screen. In practice that is a way to get brake bias, traction control, ABS and engine maps onto two controls instead of eight buttons you have to memorise.

The paddles. Asetek describes a shorter throw and a crisp end stop on Hall sensors, plus rubber end stops you can fit if you want them quieter. I cannot judge the feel until it ships. I can say a short, positive shift is what you want: on a real GT car you do not want to wonder whether the shift went in.

What it does not have

  • A big screen. 1.3 inches and 128x64 pixels is for labels and a few numbers, not a full dash. If you want lap delta and tyre temps on the wheel, you still need a dash or a screen overlay.
  • Clutch paddles in the box. They are listed as an upgrade. If you race cars with a hand clutch start, budget for them.
  • A confirmed console story. Asetek's page lists Asetek and third party bases, and says nothing about PlayStation or Xbox for this wheel. Treat it as a PC wheel until Asetek says otherwise.

Which bases it works with

On an Asetek base it fits straight on with the included quick release. Asetek's new DD10 base goes on sale on 27 October 2026 with 10 Nm, and Asetek says a Boost Kit sold separately takes it to 14 Nm. The GT Nova at €299.99 looks like the wheel meant to go with it.

On a MOZA, Fanatec, Simagic or other base you need Asetek's adapter, which is sold separately. Asetek does not list its price on the GT Nova page yet, so add it to your budget once it is published.

How it compares

At $299.99 it sits right against the Simagic Zeus GT, which is $349 for the wheel only on Simagic's US store with a bigger 300 mm open top rim. My Simagic Zeus wheels page has the full list. The difference: the Zeus GT is on sale now and the GT Nova is five months away.

If you need a wheel today, buy one that exists. The GT Nova is worth waiting for if you are already on Asetek, or planning a DD10, and want the on-wheel settings.
