FH5 Hot Wheels Double Dragons Mission: How to Do It

To finish Double Dragons in Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels, get in an S1 class car, start at the dragon atop Hammer Mountain in the canyon and drive to the dragon at the foot of the volcano in under 4 minutes. That is the whole mission. You get 100 medals and the Hot Wheels Dragon horn for it.

It only shows up once you reach Expert rank. And most people who fail it are in the wrong car class or cannot find the second dragon. So here is each part.

The mission in one table

This is what the game shows you on screen when the mission is active.

Step by step

1. Reach Expert rank in the Hot Wheels expansion. The mission is not in your list before that.
2. Get in an S1 class car. Check the class badge before you leave. S1 is PI 801 to 900.
3. Go to the dragon atop Hammer Mountain. It is in Giant's Canyon. I have a separate page on where the Hammer Mountain dragon is if you have not found it yet.
4. Open the map and drop a pin on the second dragon, at the foot of the volcano in the Ice Cauldron. The game then draws you a route.
5. Drive it. Arrive inside 4 minutes and the mission ticks off.

Where the two dragons are

Both are big animatronic dragons, and both are discoveries in their own right at Expert rank.

The easy way to find them on the map: open the map filter and switch off everything you do not need. The two dragons are the green icons.

So the mission pays you three times. 2 medals for each dragon you find, then 100 for the run between them.

Which car to take

Any S1 car is allowed, so this is a choice, not a rule. My advice is to pick the one you can keep on the track.

Hot Wheels track is fast and narrow, with boost pads and loops. Top speed matters less than you think here. One trip off the orange track costs you more time than 20 km/h on the straights will ever give back.

So take an all wheel drive S1 car you already know. If you do not have one, my list of the best S1 class cars in FH5 is the place to start. And if your favourite car is A class, you can upgrade it into S1. Just check the badge says S1 and not S2 when you are done, because one part too many puts you over PI 900.

One thing I would not do is take a brand new car you have never driven. Four minutes is enough when the run is clean. It is not enough when you are learning the car and the route in the same attempt.

If it does not count

Three things to check, in this order.

• The class. It has to be S1. An S2 car that gets there in 2 minutes still does not count.
• The start. The run begins at the Hammer Mountain dragon, not somewhere near it. Drive right up to it.
• The finish. It is the dragon at the foot of the volcano. Drive to the dragon itself.

If you run out of time, go back to Hammer Mountain and do it again.

What it is worth

Major missions pay more as you climb the ranks. Double Dragons sits in the Expert group, so it pays 100.

Those 100 medals go towards Elite rank, which is the next step.
