The Treasure Hunt challenge of this week is named “Speed Machines” and it comes with the clue: “German sport hares are lightning fast, splitting any zone in three”.
What car do I need to use for the Speed Machines treasure hunt?
Bear in mind that to start this challenge only a certain car must be used.
You’ll in fact have to use the 1983 Volkswagen Golf GTI as your car for the challenge.
Though in case you didn’t already own it, you can buy it at the Autoshow for just 20,000 credits.
What’s the requirement to unlock the tresure hunt?
The game will basically require you to jump into the Volkswagen Golf GTI 1983 and earn up to three stars within any Speed Zone.
Please note that you cannot simply earn one or two stars multiple times to progress- you must receive three stars on a single attempt.
Also, the Golf stock car generally doesn’t have enough speed to complete a Speed Zone, so we strongly advise users tune their car before attempting this challenge.
A trick to make your car go faster is to upgrade the final drive gearing. This can be done by auto-upgrading to Performance Class A for instance.
Just some quick tips
To successfully earn all three stars, you’ll just need to average 75 mph in the El Gancho speed zone.
A large circular orange symbol will appear on the southwestern portion of the map, surrounding the Gran Puente bridge and north of Uxmal, after completing this quest.
Underneath the aforementioned bridge on the northwest side there will be the Treasure Chest.
Drive west beneath the bridge and continue off-road. After a short drive, you will reach a clearing at the end of the bridge.
You’ll find the Treasure Hunt chest there waiting for you.
Last but not least you’ll have to drive into the chest and crush it to finish up the task and to claim three series points and 100 Forzathon Points.
