Gran Turismo 7 emphasizes the significance of car tuning, enabling players to extensively upgrade their vehicles for optimal performance.

This aspect of the game is crucial, especially in higher-level races where the required Performance Points (PP) far exceed what most early-game cars can achieve.

Understanding how to effectively tune cars is key to success in these challenging races.

Acquiring Tuning Parts: Roulette Tickets and Tuning Shop Pavilion

Tuning in Gran Turismo 7 involves the use of specialized parts that can either be won or purchased. Here are two primary methods to obtain these essential tuning parts.

Gaining Parts Through Roulette Tickets

Roulette Tickets in Gran Turismo 7 offer players a chance-based mechanism to acquire valuable items, including tuning parts. These tickets can be earned in two main ways:

  • Daily Workouts: Players can complete daily challenges to earn 1-Star Roulette Tickets. These challenges are updated daily and offer a variety of rewards.
  • Completing Menu Books at GT Cafe: Another way to obtain Roulette Tickets is by finishing certain Menu Books for Luca at the GT Cafe. Not all Menu Books reward players with Roulette Tickets, but those that do can provide a significant boost.

When a Roulette Ticket is used, it triggers a randomized selection process where players can win either a vehicle, tuning parts, or credit packages of varying sizes.

Utilizing the Tuning Shop Pavilion

The Tuning Shop, a staple feature in previous Gran Turismo games, returns in Gran Turismo 7 as a Pavilion.

To access it, players must first complete Menu Book 3, which involves acquiring three specific vehicles: the Fiat 500 F ’68, the Mini Cooper “S” ’65, and the Volkswagen 1200 ’66. These can either be won in races or purchased from the Used Car Pavilion.

Utilizing the Tuning Shop Pavilion

Once unlocked, the Tuning Shop Pavilion becomes a hub for purchasing a wide array of tuning parts. These parts are categorized into different levels: Sports, Club Sports, Semi-Racing, Racing, and Extreme.

To access higher-level parts, players need to collect more vehicles and increase their Collector Level.

The primary function of these tuning parts is to enhance a car’s Performance Points, thereby improving its overall capability. Most tuning parts focus on refining a vehicle’s handling and speed, allowing players to tailor their cars to specific racing conditions and personal preferences.

The Impact of Tuning on Vehicle Performance

Tuning is a critical element in Gran Turismo 7 for achieving high-performance racing. By strategically utilizing tuning parts, players can significantly boost their cars’ abilities, making them competitive in even the most demanding races.

The game’s tuning system not only increases the Performance Points of vehicles but also allows for a more personalized and effective racing experience.

Whether through handling improvements or speed enhancements, tuning provides a comprehensive approach to upgrading vehicles, making it an integral part of the Gran Turismo 7 experience.
