We all know how essential having a great car setup in iRacing is, especially in such a high demanding track like Monza.
If you’re serious about setting fastest laps and winning online races, you’ll need to know how to setup the car and I’m going to show you some things you’ll need to consider.
Being fast around Monza in iRacing Formula 3
Monza requires phenomenal car balance more than any other track, because of the long straights with chicanes in between it gets difficult for even top sim racers sometimes if they don’t have a good setup.
Also considering the fact that Formula 3 cars have got very little power compared to GT3s or Indycar, therefore they’ll need the aerodynamics to be on point.
You’ll in fact want to drop the rear and front wing to nearly zero since you’ll need to have the highest straight-line speed as possible.
Drag efficiency is key in Monza and you won’t really care about having any downforce.
In terms of driving make sure that you hit the brakes hard and trail brake nicely into the corner which will make you win lots of time on the entries.
The next key area of focus is having good exits which is fundamental to get a high top speed at the end of the straights.
