Sim racers, prepare to tackle the racetrack like never before. Assetto Corsa and its spinoff, Assetto Corsa Competizione, are probably familiar to anyone who has played PC racing sims for any length of time.

In the world of sim racing, these games have raised the standard by providing realistic driving physics, finely detailed tracks, and an extensive assortment of vehicles. Several players have used virtual reality (VR) installations to enhance their gameplay.

Racing enthusiasts may now experience an unmatched level of immersion with gadgets like the Oculus Quest and Pimax Crystal, which give them the sensation of being really behind the wheel.

Once you try VR, you never go back

Many people find it impossible to go back to standard flat-screen gaming after experiencing VR racing. Racing and flight games are perfect for virtual reality due to their immersive qualities, so it’s exciting to hear that Assetto Corsa 2, or Assetto Corsa Evo as it will be named, will support VR right out of the box.

Virtual reality (VR) is a crucial tool for lovers of simulation racing because it allows users to see around the cockpit, determine their distance from the apex, and react to other cars in a natural and logical way.

Specifics Are Still Unknown

Not much is known about the game at this time. By mid-year, though, an announcement and possibly early access are expected.

Kunos Simulazioni’s co-founder and Executive Manager of Assetto Corsa Evo, Marco Massarutto, shared his observations in a translated interview on Traxion.

“We aim to have the VR on day zero,” he said. From this perspective, we suffered a lot with Competizione, which is why we want to provide more committed VR support.

We collaborated with the engineers from Nvidia and Epic [Games], having them spend some time working with us at our Formello office. We ultimately arrived at the finest possible solution.

Dedication to Virtual Reality enthusiasts

In a comforting tone, he continued, “Let’s say that the VR fans rest assured.” This pledge demonstrates how much the company recognizes the value of virtual reality to a certain audience segment.

The goal of Kunos Simulazioni is to steer clear of the mistakes made when developing Assetto Corsa Competizione, which had a difficult time maximizing VR performance.

VR Racing: A Sophisticated but Committed Group

Even while only a small portion of players participate in VR racing, those who do frequently go above and beyond to improve their setup.

Many construct their own personalized racing cockpits, complete with pedals, gear shifters, and steering wheels, in an effort to provide the most realistic experience.

These setups are frequently enhanced with top-tier equipment from companies like Moza Racing, offering even more control and immersion.

These committed gamers are prepared to shell out a substantial amount of cash and time to create a setting that resembles a real-world racing circuit.

The First Screenshot Shows Magnificent Images

The fun doesn’t stop when VR is supported. The first screenshot from Assetto Corsa Evo, according to an Italian website that first published the interview, was also purportedly received by them.

If the intricate car interior in the picture is any indication, gamers may be in for another visually spectacular game.

The realistic texturing, elaborate dashboard design, and general attractiveness all point to Assetto Corsa Evo carrying on the franchise’s long history of excellent graphics.

Setting Up a Novel Parameter

Assetto Corsa Evo is prepared to set new standards for racing simulators with its dedication to virtual reality and realistic simulation.

Sim racers are eagerly awaiting further details because of the upcoming announcement and potential early access.

This new sequel seeks to maintain the legacy of its predecessors while also broadening the world of virtual racing.

The closer the middle of the year gets, the more excited everyone is. Fans of the series as well as enthusiasts for simulation racing are looking forward to Kunos Simulazioni’s additions and enhancements to the racing action.

Because of Assetto Corsa Evo’s improved graphics, VR compatibility from the start, and potential for even more realistic driving physics, it will be a necessary tool for any professional sim racer.

Assetto Corsa Evo is certain to deliver an immersive and thrilling experience that will raise the bar for the genre, regardless matter whether you’re an experienced series fan or a novice to the world of simulation racing.
