Assetto Corsa Competizione enthusiasts are in for a treat as the latest addition to the highly anticipated GT2 downloadable content (DLC) has been revealed.

This powerhouse delivers an impressive 640 hp, all managed through a sophisticated seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

The GT2 Pack: A New Era of Racing

With the Audi R8 LMS GT2’s announcement, it joins an elite group of cars, including two Porsches—the 935 (2019) and the 911 GT2 RS CS EVO Kit—both of which have already been confirmed for Assetto Corsa Competizione’s upcoming GT2 pack.

This DLC represents the first paid-for content since the April 2023 GT World Challenge Pack, which brought three new GT3 cars and the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia into the fold. The GT2 Pack A New Era of Racing on ACC

This GT2 pack, first mentioned during the 24 Hours of Spa event in 2022, has been eagerly anticipated, with several vehicles initially confirmed by Kunos Co-Founder Marco Massarutto.

  • Audi R8 LMS GT2
  • Brabham BT63 GT2
  • KTM X-BOW GT2
  • Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo GT2

Anticipation and Availability

As the January 2024 release date approaches, excitement builds with no official pricing or additional track information yet announced for the GT2 Pack.

However, a series of trailers and announcements are expected to tantalize and inform the racing community.

While the PC release usually precedes console versions, details regarding PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S availability remain under wraps, with fans awaiting news on how the new content will be adapted by Untold Games for these platforms.

There is also curiosity about any quality-of-life improvements that may accompany the DLC.

Looking beyond the GT2 Pack, Assetto Corsa Competizione players have more to look forward to. The 2024 season pack is set to include the highly requested Nürburgring Nordschleife layout, and anticipation is already building for the next all-new Assetto Corsa title, expected in ‘summer 2024’.

As the racing simulation community eagerly awaits these developments, the addition of the Audi R8 LMS GT2 marks an exciting expansion of the Assetto Corsa Competizione universe, promising more thrilling, high-octane racing experiences for players worldwide.
