SIMTAG Hydraulic Pedals review

SIMTAG Hydraulic Pedals review

If you’re looking to level up your sim racing setup to improve your lap times on iRacing and Assetto Corsa, upgrading your pedals would definetely be a great choice.

More specifically, looking for hydraulic pedals would be an even better decision.

The SIMTAG Hydraulic Pedals promise to deliver a realistic hydraulic pedal experience, thanks to their proper weight and resistance curves.

Installation is a breeze, and after calibrating the pedals they feel exceptional to use.

There’s definitely a noticeable difference in how the car behaves when using hydraulic pedals, as opposed to the standard plastic pedals that come with most racing seats.

Overall, I’m very impressed with the SIMTAG Hydraulic Pedals and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for an upgrade!

Though they’re pretty expensive , they are definitely worth the investment.

Let’s now get in depth with this review.

What’s the material?

As you might expect, the pedals are made from high-quality CNC machined aluminum.

This highly resistant metal is used for its extreme durability and low weight.

The pedal plate is made from a thick steel plate covered with Teflon which allows the pedals to slide very smoothly over it.

Are they adjustable and easy to adjust?

Yes, they are.

Here’s how it works: there are two screws on the back that you can use to adjust pedal reach (distance between footrest and gas pedal) and height of the gas pedal.

Are they easy to use?

Very easy.

After calibrating the pedals, they feel fantastic to use.

The hydraulic resistance provides a realistic experience and makes it possible to control your braking point much better than with traditional plastic pedals.

What’s included in the box?

When you order the pedals, the package will include:

  • Pedals (duh!)
  • Steel plate (used to install the pedals)
  • Allen key (to adjust pedal reach and/or height)
  • Rubber pads (protect you from sliding off your seat while using the pedals).

Will they make me faster?

If you’re a seasoned sim driver, then definitely yes.

These pedals provide a much more realistic experience and that’s what every sim racer is looking for after all, right?

How much do they cost?

The SIMTAG Hydraulic Pedals, as I previously stated, are among the most costly in the market, selling for €3,100.

However, when you consider both the quality of the experience and the performance and durability of these pedals, this price is still a steal!

Are they worth the money?

Definitely.

The SIMTAG Hydraulic Pedals provide a fantastic experience and will certainly make you faster on the virtual race track.

If you’re shopping for sim racing pedals, these hydraulic ones should definitely be at the top of your list!

Bottom line:

In my opinion, the SIMTAG Hydraulic Pedals are a must-have upgrade for sim racers.

They provide a strong and realistic pedal experience, which will make you much faster on the virtual track.

What do you think of these hydraulic pedals?

Are you going to pick them up or have you already bought a different set of pedals?
