The ratings were decided by the game’s development team, and they basically range from 1-100.
In addition to that, each driver has 9 individual driving attributes that are graded out of 100 and that combined make up the overall rating of each driver.

What are the F1 2022 driving attributes?
Each F1, F2 or F3 driver includes the following 9 attributes rated from 1 to 100:
- Braking
- Cornering
- Control
- Reactions
- Defending
- Overtaking
- Adaptability
- Accuracy
- Smoothness
Other than that you will find two extra values rated from high to low which are: Growth potential and Aggression.
So all these attributes combined basically make up the final driver rating that you see in-game.
