Forza Horizon 6 has 15 barn finds, and each one is a car you get for free. The game opens them through the Discover Japan stamps, so you cannot collect them all in the first evening. This page has the 15 cars, the region of each, the stamp that opens it, and how the system works.

I checked the list on 11 October 2026 against KeenGamer (18 May 2026) and Destructoid (14 May 2026, updated the day after). They agree on all 15 cars, the regions and the stamp ranks. The finer location hints in the table are from KeenGamer only, so treat them as a pointer and use the purple circle in game. I have not driven all 15 of them myself.

How barn finds work

Barn finds are tied to exploring, not to racing. Both guides describe the same loop:

  1. Raise your Discover Japan stamp. You check it under Campaign Menu, Collection Journal, Discover Japan.
  2. When a new rank is reached, barn find rumours appear. Each rumour is a purple search circle on the map.
  3. Drive into the circle and find the barn. Approaching it plays the cutscene that shows the car.
  4. The car is restored over time, or you pay credits to speed it up.

One trap. If you stumble on a barn before its rumour is active, the car is not available. Nothing is lost, you just have to come back after the stamp.

There are seven stamp ranks: Yellow (Visitor), Green (Sightseer), Blue (Traveller), Pink (Pathfinder), Orange (Navigator), Purple (Adventurer) and Gold (Master Explorer). You fill the stamp by playing normally. The ways in are collecting and customising cars, photographing murals, smashing mascots, finding landmarks, running street and touge races, touring with Mei and the food delivery job. The Forza Horizon 6 guide has the full stamp and wristband explanation.

Which ones I would restore first

I would not call any of the 15 a best car for racing. They are old, and the game gives you faster ones as normal rewards and in the Autoshow. They are collection cars, and that is the right way to look at them.

Still, a few are worth a proper look:

  • Nissan R390 GT1. A road legal Le Mans car, the one in the table with the most track in it.
  • Mazda #55 787B. It is the car that won Le Mans in 1991, and it is the last one on the list.
  • Peugeot 205 Turbo 16. Small, light and quick on a dirt road, so it is a good rally toy.
  • Toyota 2000GT. The classic. Good for photo mode and slow drives, not for racing.

The class and the stats you will see in the game depend on the car and your build, so I have not put numbers here.

Tips for finding them

  • Open the Collection Journal first and see which stamp rank you are at. Do not drive circles for a barn whose rumour is not active.
  • Use the drone mode inside the search circle. KeenGamer says it helps spot barns hidden by trees and terrain. I have not tested it.
  • Group barns by region. Ito has four, so clear the ones your rank allows in one trip.
  • Barns are not treasure cars. Treasure cars are a separate list and are claimed on the spot. The ten treasure cars are in my Forza Horizon 6 car list.
  • If you want the rest of the garage, check the best cars in Forza Horizon 6 before spending credits on restoration.

If you came from the previous game, the Forza Horizon 5 barn finds list is a different system and a different list.

FAQ

How many barn finds are in Forza Horizon 6?

Fifteen. Both KeenGamer and Destructoid list the same 15 cars.

How do you unlock barn finds in Forza Horizon 6?

Raise your Discover Japan stamp. Each rank opens new barn find rumours, shown as purple search circles. The barn does nothing until its rumour is active.

Which stamp do I need for all barn finds?

The gold stamp, Master Explorer. That one opens the last two, the Nissan #11 Tomica Skyline Turbo Super Silhouette and the Mazda #55 787B.

Can I speed up restoring a barn find?

Yes. The car restores over time, or you can pay credits to skip the wait.

Are barn finds the same as treasure cars?

No. Treasure cars are a separate collectible list and can be claimed straight away.

Is the Mazda 787B barn find any good?

It is the last one you unlock. I would take it for the collection and the photos. The best cars for racing are on my best cars page.
