Following last week’s significant 1.0 update to Forza Motorsport, which made notable improvements in bug fixing and enhanced the car progression system, a set of unresolved issues has remained, causing frustration among players.

A Swift Response: Turn 10 Announces Update 1.1

Just a week after the 1.0 update, Turn 10 swiftly responded to players’ concerns by announcing the release of Update 1.1.

This new update, categorized as a hotfix, is scheduled for release today and is intended to address one of the most widely reported issues affecting the Forza Motorsport community.

Exploring the Forza Motorsport Update 1.1 Patch Notes

The initial launch of Forza Motorsport encountered a rocky start, with many players facing a frustrating issue in which the loading screen became unresponsive after upgrading or purchasing cars.

Unfortunately, this issue often left players with no alternative but to restart the game, which sometimes resulted in the loss of career progress when they resumed gameplay.

In more severe instances, this issue even led to corruption of save files, a problem that persisted despite the release of the 1.0 update.

The introduction of Update 1.1 is seen as a ray of hope for the affected players.

While it may not provide a complete resolution, it is designed to “help mitigate” the issue and enhance overall game stability across all platforms.

The official patch notes shed light on the specific changes introduced in this update:

Stability [All Platforms]

This hotfix is intended to address an issue where players might encounter an infinite loading screen when saving a Quick Upgrade in the Builders Cup Intro Series, particularly under variable network conditions.

Although this update may be relatively modest in scope, its significance cannot be understated. It represents a crucial step in the right direction, with the aim of improving the overall gaming experience for all players.

However, it is essential to acknowledge that a considerable list of known issues still awaits resolution in future patches.

Forza Motorsport players are encouraged to download this update, which is now available on Xbox Series X | S and PC. A download prompt should appear as soon as players initiate Forza Motorsport.

Revisiting Changes in Car Progression

The 1.0 update released last week brought substantial alterations to the car progression system.

Departing from the previous model of purchasing upgrades using in-game credits, the revised system now relies on Car Points, which players earn as they make progress through the Builders Cup and level up their cars.

Initially, certain upgrades were locked behind the requirement of reaching level 50, a process that often necessitated extensive experience (XP) grinding.

In response to valuable player feedback, Turn 10 promptly addressed this concern. The result is that all car upgrades are now accessible at level 25, instead of the initial requirement of level 50.

This adjustment aims to provide players with a smoother and more satisfying progression experience, making it easier for them to access car upgrades.
