I wrote the first version of this page before the GT2 cars came out, when nobody knew how they would drive. They have been in the game since early 2024, so here is the real list.

How many GT2 cars are in ACC?
Six GT2 cars from five brands. Porsche has two. All six come from the GT2 Pack, which is paid DLC.
The pack came out on PC on 24 January 2024 and on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on 27 February 2024. It is not only cars: it also adds the Red Bull Ring as a track.

What is a GT2 car?
Forget the old GT2 class from the 2000s. Today's GT2 is a category built for amateur drivers, and the idea is simple: more power than a GT3 car, less downforce.
More power makes the car fast on the straights without asking much from the driver. Less aero means the cornering speeds are lower, so you do not need the commitment a GT3 car asks for in a fast corner.
On the lap that works out close to GT3 pace. Quicker down the straights, slower through the fast stuff.
The cars, one by one
Audi R8 LMS GT2
The only car in the class without a turbo. The V10 gives its power in a straight line with the pedal, so you always know what the rear tyres are about to get. If you come from the R8 in GT3, start here.
KTM X-Bow GT2
A carbon tub with a five cylinder turbo behind the driver. It has the least power of the six and it is the lightest, so it wins its time in the corners and under braking.
Maserati MC20 GT2
The newest design in the class, with a twin turbo V6. At 480° it has the quickest steering rack of the GT2 cars, so keep your inputs small.
Mercedes-AMG GT2
The only front engine car here and the most powerful on paper. Like every AMG in the game it is stable on the brakes. All that torque goes through the rear tyres, so look after them in a long race. My ACC tyre wear guide covers how.
Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport Evo
Rear engine, twin turbo, 700 hp in the real car. The weight over the rear axle gives it great traction out of slow corners. The price is a light front end on entry. Brake in a straight line, turn in a touch later.
Porsche 935
The same base as the GT2 RS Clubsport with a long tail body that copies the 935 race cars of the late 1970s. Same engine, same layout, different shape.

The driving is different from GT3 in one clear way. In a GT3 you lean on the aero and the electronics. In a GT2 you have more power than grip on exit, so your right foot does the work.

Which GT2 car should you start with?
I would start with the Audi R8 LMS GT2. No turbo means no surprise in the power delivery, and a mid engine car rotates without much effort.
If you want the most stable car, take the Mercedes-AMG GT2.
Leave the two Porsches until you have a feel for the class. A rear engine car with 700 hp is brilliant when you get it right and punishes you when you do not.

Is the GT2 Pack worth it?
For the cars alone, only if you have somewhere to race them. GT3 is still where most of the online grids are.
The Red Bull Ring changes the answer. It is a good track, and if your league or ranked service runs it you need the pack anyway. Then the six cars come along with it.
