Did you know that Gran Turismo 7 is working to bring custom racing gear and a custom De Tomaso signed by Dior?
Last month’s release of update 1.19 for Gran Turismo 7 included 3 new cars, events, Menu Books, and quality-of-life improvements.
Looking ahead though, Polyphony has previewed more new content coming to GT7 in a future update.
At the World Series Showdown Nations Cup in Salzburg, Austria, Polyphony announced an unexpected partnership with French fashion house Dior.
The Dior racing gear
Dior and Gran Turismo 7 are partnering up to bring you the newest in fashion-meets-functionality. Later this month, custom Dior racing gear designed for driver avatars will be added to the game, including a yellow and grey racing suit with gloves and shoes to match, as well as a blue and grey helmet.
Not only is the number 47 significant in Christian Dior’s history, but it also appears on the racing gear from his first fashion show in 1947.
A Custom De Tomaso Mangusta is coming to GT7
Dior is not only creating racing gear, but also a custom De Tomaso Mangusta that will be added to Hagerty Collection Legends car dealer next month.
This unique cream and grey De Tomaso Mangusta features a special livery with the number 47 as well as Dior decals.
Kim Jones, the British fashion designer and Artistic Director of Dior men’s collections, created the bespoke racing gear and De Tomaso Mangusta for this video game.
When will all of this be available?
On August 25th, the Dior racing gear and De Tomaso Mangusta will be available in GT7. We think this will happen as part of a larger game update later on in the month that’ll include new cars and tracks.
So there you have it, the prestigious upcoming content for Gran Turismo 7.
