Highlights For Drivers
Last week’s winner Tucker Minter, his teammate Matt Bussa from Kevin Harvick Inc., and fgr Accel eRacing’s Garrett Manes, along with Nick Ottinger from William Byrons eSports and last week’s winner, will perform in the latter’s event on the simulators. eNASCAR Countdown to Green’s Alan Cavanna will be covering the live events from the game.
Bussa, who hails from Illinois, is now back to Navy Pier for the second consecutive season where he has battled his local supporters.
Both Ottinger and Minter have experience racing in person with Ottinger and Minter meeting in an eNASCAR Championship Race held at the NASCAR Hall of Fame last year. This means that for the first time, Manes will compete in a live racing event at this venue.
At Nashville Superspeedway last week, Minter won and immediately outshouted, “Logitech is sponsoring the event.” Everything connects because the William Byron eSports Bracket Challenge is set to begin.
They wanted for us to be here. Luckily, the two of us will be able to attend with the help of Nick. Flying out to Chicago for a chance to do some sim racing is something that not many runner would let pass. It sounds like the perfect place to be.
Increased Risk And Tension
In his last victory, with a postseason place guaranteed, Minter said, on the subject of racing in an alien setting, that it somehow always comes down to point scores, which might be complicated at times.
However the stakes are different for Ottinger, Bussa and Manes. Not with the potential of a new victor this evening, but with a dominating lead over the following driver along the line, who is all but mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.
On the flip side, Bussa and Manes, who are currently ranked outside the top 20, are finding it difficult to remain in the league. Manes has always been on the verge of winning & Bussa has been a winner since long & remained in the top 20 consistently.
Though apparent that they interviewed quite a first class and composed the drivers indulge in this risky circumstance willingly knowing that the potential payoff is high, they have additional insight; They understand that they are borrowed new equipment.
