Le Mans Ultimate is not on PS5. On 8 October 2026 it is on Steam for Windows and nowhere else. A console port for PlayStation and Xbox is in production, and the only window Motorsport Games has put in writing is an estimate: between late 2026 and early 2027. No date.
I checked the company's own press releases and the Steam page that day. Everything below comes from those. Where something is my opinion and not theirs, I say so.
Is Le Mans Ultimate on PS5?
No.
The Steam page lists Windows as the only platform. The developer and publisher on that page is Studio 397, the studio owned by Motorsport Games. The game's own site at lemansultimate.com sends you to Steam and names no console.
I found no PlayStation Store listing and no pre-order. If you see a site selling a PS5 key or a disc, it is not real.

What Motorsport Games has said, in order
Three official statements matter. I quote them so you can judge the wording yourself.
6 November 2025. In the third quarter 2025 results, CEO Stephen Hood said: "a console port of Le Mans Ultimate is now in early production and the Company is looking forward bringing this unique experience to PlayStation and Xbox gaming consoles with a current estimated delivery between late 2026 and early 2027."
That is the announcement. It names PlayStation and Xbox. It does not name PS5 or Series X by model, and it gives an estimate, not a date.
13 May 2026. In the first quarter 2026 results, the company wrote about "taking Le Mans Ultimate to console and future possible titles", and said Version 1.3 on PC carried a "new user interface framework that is vital for release on these platforms."
So by May the console work was showing up inside the PC game.
14 August and 22 September 2026. The second quarter results and the press release for Version 1.4.2 say nothing about console. Neither confirms the window and neither moves it.
| Date | Source | What it says about console |
|---|---|---|
| 6 Nov 2025 | Q3 2025 results | Port in early production, PlayStation and Xbox, estimated late 2026 to early 2027 |
| 10 Mar 2026 | Q4 and full year 2025 results | Nothing in the press release |
| 13 May 2026 | Q1 2026 results | New UI framework in Version 1.3, described as vital for console |
| 14 Aug 2026 | Q2 2026 results | Nothing |
| 22 Sep 2026 | Version 1.4.2 press release | Nothing. Steam only |
You will find later quotes around the web from earnings calls with a different window. I could not read those at the source, so I leave them out.
When will it come out on PS5?
Nobody outside the company knows, and the company has not given a date.
Here is how I read it. This part is mine.
The estimate was "between late 2026 and early 2027". It is now October 2026. There is no store page, no trailer and no pre-order. A console game that ships before Christmas normally has all three by now. So I would not plan on 2026.
I have sat in enough engineering meetings to know what "current estimated delivery" means. It is the plan on the day they said it. It is not a promise.
When a date exists, it will be in a Motorsport Games press release first. That is where I will look, and I will update this page the same day.
Why the port takes time
Le Mans Ultimate was built for PC. It went into Early Access in February 2024, and Steam lists 22 July 2025 as the release date of the full version.
The one technical detail the company has given is the user interface. The menus of a PC sim are made for a mouse. On a console you do everything with a pad, so the interface had to be rebuilt, and that rebuild arrived on PC in Version 1.3 in March 2026.
Meanwhile the PC game keeps moving. Version 1.4 in July 2026 added Daytona and Laguna Seca. Version 1.4.2 on 22 September 2026 came with US Track Pack 2, which is Road Atlanta and Long Beach for $19.99. A console version has to catch a target that does not stand still.
I wrote about the earlier stage of this story in 2024, when the company was still evaluating partners for console versions. The Xbox side is on my Le Mans Ultimate on Xbox page.

What we do not know yet
A lot. None of these has an official answer on 8 October 2026.
- The release date.
- The price on console.
- Whether it is PS5 only on the PlayStation side. The statement says "PlayStation", no model.
- Which cars, tracks and DLC packs come with it.
- Whether console players race against PC players.
- Which wheels it supports on PS5.
- Whether it supports PlayStation VR2.
- Whether the RaceControl subscription works the same way.
Any page that gives you a firm answer on one of these is guessing.
How to play Le Mans Ultimate today
On a PC, through Steam. On 8 October 2026 the list price is $39.99 and it was on sale at $21.99.
Steam describes it as the official game of the FIA World Endurance Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with Hypercars, LMGT3, LMP2 and GTE cars, dynamic weather, ranked online racing, asynchronous co-op and VR.
Once you have it, my Le Mans Ultimate setups page shows where the free setups are and where setup files go, and the track list shows which circuits come with the game and which are paid.
These are the requirements on the Steam page.
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10 or 11 | Windows 10 or 11 |
| Processor | Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 | Intel Core i5-10600 or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X |
| Memory | 8 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Graphics | GTX 1060 6 GB or RX 580 6 GB | RTX 2070 8 GB or RX 6600 8 GB |
| DirectX | Version 11 | Version 11 |
| Storage | 45 GB | 45 GB |
Read the note Steam puts under the minimum column: it is for minimal settings at 1080p with a single class on track. A full multiclass grid at night asks for more than that.
Steam also lists controller support as partial. So even on PC this is a game made for a wheel.
If the PS5 wait is too long and you are thinking about a PC, start with my best sim racing PC page. The numbers above are modest. You do not need a monster to run it.

Should you wait for PS5 or buy a PC?
My view, as a driver.
If you only want to try endurance racing now and then, wait. The port is announced and in production. Buying a PC for one game you might play twice a month makes no sense.
If you want to race it seriously this winter, do not wait. There is no date, and "early 2027" can become later without anyone breaking a promise.
One thing to plan for either way: your wheel. The PlayStation wheels from the main brands also work on a PC. The other direction is not guaranteed, because PlayStation needs licensed hardware. My best sim racing wheels for PS5 page and the direct drive wheels for PS5 page list the ones that carry over.
And if you want to understand the cars before the game arrives, my hybrid system explainer covers how these prototypes deploy energy. It is written for iRacing, and it contrasts that model with the one Le Mans Ultimate uses.
