RaceRoom Racing Experience Review

If you’re a fan of sim racing games, chances are you’ve heard of RaceRoom Racing Experience.

It’s been around for a while and has built up a large following in the sim racing community. But is it worth your time?

In this article, we’ll take a look at the game and see what it has to offer.

Whether you’re new to racing simulators or an experienced driver, there’s something here for everyone.

So let’s get started!

What is RaceRoom?

Raceroom Racing Experience is a racing simulator that was developed by Sector3 Studios.

It’s a free-to-play game, which means you can download and play it without spending a penny.

However, there are a number of in-game items and DLC packs that can be purchased from the Steam Platform.

These include the various famous DTM and Adac GT packs which are really popular in 2022.

These range from new cars and tracks that have been released at different updates to satisfy users needs.

When was RaceRoom Released?

The game’s release date goes back to February 12 2013, when it first hit the shelves.

However, it has been updated and redeveloped since then to keep up with the latest technology.

Since its release, the game has been continuously updated with new content and features. What

Which engine does RaceRoom use?

The game is powered by the isiMotor 2 racing engine which is known to be one of the most realistic engines out there.

It simulates real-life physics and allows for a high degree of accuracy when it comes to car handling and track layout.

This makes for a very realistic experience that is sure to please all its users.

Is RaceRoom Realistic?

Yes, it’s really realistic. The developers have gone to great lengths to ensure that the game’s physics are as accurate as possible.

I can admit that it really feels like being into a real GT car where you have to manage the throttle, brakes and steering properly if you wish to be fast and win online races.

This means that you need to learn how to handle the cars if you want to do well in races.

There’s a lot of skill involved and it can take some time to get used to the game’s mechanics though let me tell you that it’s totally worth the time investment.

Are RaceRoom tracks laser scanned?

Actually, most of their tracks are not laser scanned, in fact only a very few like the Nurburgring Nordschleife are.

That doesn’t mean that the tracks are bad or poorly made, in fact despite not being laser scanned they’re still some of the best tracks I’ve ever raced on.

They have a good variety to them and are all pretty well made, with a couple of exceptions of course.

Device compatibility

Unfortunately for console users, the game is currently only available on PC.

However, the developers might consider working on a console version in the future.

In the meantime, PC users can take advantage of the game’s compatibility with a wide range of devices.

These include desktop PCs, laptops, and even VR headsets.

How much does RaceRoom cost?

The game is actually free to download and free to play, though if you’re looking to get your hands on some of the DLC packs then it’ll cost you.

Those DLC though will make the entire experience a whole lot better, so it’s definitely worth considering.

Prices for the different packs vary, but they typically range from around $10 to $25 so you’d just pick one or two then you won’t break the bank.

Where can I buy RaceRoom?

You can download raceroom on Steam for free and then you can get your hands on some of their most popular DLC packs like the DTM, Formula E, and GT Masters DLCs.

If you’ve got deep pockets and you were looking to purchase every single DLC pack it will then cost you a total of $116.93.

However, not everyone needs all the DLC packs so it’s best to just purchase the ones that interest you the most.

Is RaceRoom worth it?

My opinion? Absolutely yes!

To me Raceroom is together with iRacing and ACC the most realistic driving simulator in the market and it’s free to get started which is a major plus.

The tracks are well made, the physics are spot on, and you can find a lot of good online races to take part in.

If you’re looking for a good driving simulator on PC, then Raceroom is definitely the game to check out.
