The next update for Gran Turismo 7 is set to be released on 28th September 2023 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting this update since the last content-adding update in August.

Series producer Kazunori Yamauchi recently shared a teaser on social media, building up anticipation for the upcoming release.

Honda Civic Type R FL5

The 11th generation of Honda Civic and the sixth generation of Honda Civic Type R are ready to make their mark in Gran Turismo with the all-new Honda Civic Type R FL5.

Replacing the ‘FK8’ model that was already available in the game, the ‘FL5’ offers notable changes and improvements.

While it may seem like a downgrade at first glance, with smaller wheels and a slight increase in weight, there is more than meets the eye.

The design has been refined, giving it a more sophisticated appearance, and the body panels have been specifically pressed for a sleeker look.

Inside, you’ll find luxurious red-flocked carpets that add a touch of elegance.

Not to mention, the Honda Civic Type R FL5 has set new lap records for front-wheel-drive production cars at both Suzuka and the Nürburgring Nordschleife, proving its outstanding performance on the track.

This is a significant car in the history of Gran Turismo SEMA award winners.

his iconic vehicle, once showcased at the Las Vegas-based tuning and car modifying show, was recognized by Polyphony Digital and immortalized in the popular Gran Turismo game series.

Between 2003 and 2018, a total of 18 SEMA award winners were chosen, and each of them has been faithfully recreated in the virtual world, except for the 2017 victor – Phil Robles’ Honda Civic EX. But now, the collection is set to be complete, with this exceptional car joining the ranks.

Featuring a striking wide-body overhaul, an impressive K-series engine swap, and a high-performance sequential gearbox, this modified Honda Civic EX is a true masterpiece.

It proudly stands alongside other renowned SEMA winners in Gran Turismo 7, such as the Roadster Shop Rampage, Wicked Fabrication GT 51, Greening Auto Company Maverick, GReddy Fugu Z, Chris Holstrom Concepts 1967 Chevy Nova, and Eckert’s Rod & Custom Mach Forty.

Mazda 3 racing modified

The current generation of Mazda 3 has made its way into Gran Turismo 7, and it appears that the game will soon feature a racing-modified version as well.

This new addition, believed to fall within the Gr.4 category, will bring some fresh excitement to the racing scene.

It will provide a welcome change for those who participate in the weekly ranked Daily Races, which predominantly involve Gr.3 or Gr.4 vehicles.

During a recent Japanese Mazda Spirit Racing esports event, attendees were thrilled to catch a glimpse of this Mazda in action.

Several visitors even captured footage of the car, sharing it online. In the Super Taikyu Series, this Mazda competes in the ST-Q class and runs on biodiesel fuel. It will be interesting to see what type of fuel the in-game version of the car will use.
