The Setup

The second round of the ADAC SimRacing Expo Professional Trophy saw George Boothby triumph on behalf of Veloce McLaren, by a narrow 1.5-second margin following a gruelling 45-minute race.

The Setup

The stage was set in a virtual replica of Monza, with every team vying for a share of the €5,000 prize pool.

There were 11 driver changes from the opening round as teams put forward their best drivers for the high-speed layout of the course.

The Showdown

Boothby seized initial control by securing pole position, leading the race ahead of notable contenders from Williams Esports Chillblast and Visceral Esports.

The race saw multiple incidents, including a chaotic opening corner and various collisions throughout the race.

However, despite the hurdles, Boothby managed to maintain his lead, even as fierce competition from Vojtěch Fiala of Williams Esports threatened his position.

The two engaged in a thrilling back-and-forth, with Boothby eventually extending his lead to 1.5s, which he maintained until the finish line.

Despite the pandemonium of the race, Boothby emerged victorious, describing the first lap as “insanity”.

He praised opponent Fiala, highlighting the trustworthiness of such a talented driver.

This win places Boothby in a strong position moving into the remaining rounds of the ADAC SimRacing Expo’s Professional Trophy, further cementing his status as a force to be reckoned with in the sim racing world.
