Assetto Corsa EVO is not on PS5. On 8 October 2026 it is in Early Access on Steam, for Windows only. A console version is planned, but KUNOS Simulazioni has not given a release date, a price or a pre-order.
That is the short answer. Below is everything that is on record, who said it and when, and what I would do while waiting.
Is Assetto Corsa EVO on PS5?
No.
I checked the Steam page on 8 October 2026. The only platform listed is Windows. The game launched in Early Access on 16 January 2025 and the current build is 0.9, released on 26 August 2026.
I also read the two latest official posts from KUNOS, the 0.9 release notes and the Free Roam reveal of 7 October 2026. Neither one mentions PlayStation, Xbox or any console.
So if a shop lists a PS5 copy with a date today, treat that date as a placeholder. It did not come from the studio.

What has been said about consoles, in order

There are three things on record. I list them with the source, because most of what you read about EVO on console is a guess built on these.
| When | Who | What |
|---|---|---|
| September 2023 | Digital Bros, the group that owns KUNOS, in a financial report | The next Assetto Corsa is in the long-term plans for PS5 and Xbox Series X and S, as reported by Traxion |
| 27 June 2025 | Marco Massarutto, KUNOS co-founder, to Traxion | Console versions are in the schedule, with no date. A separate team had been on the port for over a year |
| 8 October 2026 | Steam and the KUNOS news page | Still PC only. Nothing new on console that I could find |
The June 2025 interview is the important one. Traxion's Thomas Harrison-Lord reported that Massarutto confirmed console versions are part of the plan, that a satellite team had already been working on the port for more than a year, and that the ideal would be to bring the console version when 1.0 arrives on PC. He added that it was too early to confirm that timing.
I found nothing newer than that. If KUNOS has said more since, it is not on their news page or on Steam.
When will Assetto Corsa EVO come out on PS5?
Nobody outside KUNOS knows, and KUNOS has not said.
What we can do is follow the logic of that interview. The console version is tied, at least as an aim, to version 1.0 on PC. So the real question is when 1.0 lands.
Here the facts are these:
- The Steam Early Access text says the plan was to reach 1.0 in less than one year from the start of Early Access.
- Early Access started on 16 January 2025.
- On 8 October 2026 the game is on 0.9. That is almost 21 months in.
So the first target was missed by a wide margin, and there is no new public date for 1.0. I will not give you a month or a year for PS5. Any date I wrote here would be invented.
My read, and this is opinion: 0.9 is one step from 1.0 by the numbers, but KUNOS has just revealed Free Roam and has not dated that for players at home either. I would not plan a console purchase around EVO arriving soon.
Why the console version comes after PC
This part is my view as someone who has followed the series since the first game.
Early Access is where the physics, the tyre model and the content change from one build to the next. On PC a studio can push an update on Steam when it is ready. On console every build goes through the platform holder's approval, so a moving target is expensive. It makes sense to port once the game has stopped moving, and that is 1.0.
There is also a business reason to do the port at all. In October 2024 Massarutto told Traxion that about 40% of the franchise's sales are on console. Nobody walks away from that share.
And the group has said it in writing. The September 2023 Digital Bros report named PS5 and Xbox Series for the next Assetto Corsa. Plans in a financial report can slip, but they are rarely dropped without a word.

What we do not know yet
A lot. I prefer to list it than to fill the gaps.
- The release date on PS5.
- The price on PS5. On Steam, KUNOS has said the full version will cost more than Early Access.
- Whether there will be a PS4 version. The 2023 report named PS5 and Xbox Series only.
- Whether PS5 and PC players will share servers.
- Which wheels will be supported on PS5.
- Whether PS VR2 will be supported. The PC version supports VR through SteamVR, Oculus VR and OpenXR, but that says nothing about console.
- Whether mods, when they come, will reach console.
- Whether Free Roam will be in the console version at launch.
I could not check the PlayStation Store for a listing in a reliable way, so I make no claim about one.
How to play Assetto Corsa EVO today
On a PC, through Steam. These are the numbers from the Steam page on 8 October 2026.
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Platform | Windows |
| Status | Early Access, version 0.9 |
| List price | $39.99 (it was 20% off at $31.99 when I checked) |
| Minimum graphics card | GTX 1070, RX 580 or Arc A580 |
| Minimum processor | Intel i7 8700k or AMD 1500X |
| Memory | 16 GB |
| Storage | 100 GB on an SSD |
| VR | SteamVR, Oculus VR, OpenXR |
One detail PS5 owners will like: the Steam page lists DualSense controller support. So if you have a PC that meets those numbers, your PS5 pad works with it.
For what is in the game right now, see my Assetto Corsa EVO car list, which has all 75 cars in 0.9. The main page for the game is Assetto Corsa EVO.

What to play on PS5 while you wait
Two games, depending on what you want from EVO.
If you want the mix of road cars and race cars, Gran Turismo 7 is the closest thing on PS5. Start with my Gran Turismo 7 beginner tips.
If you want KUNOS physics and GT racing, Assetto Corsa Competizione is on PS5 and it comes from the same studio. It is GT3 and GT4 only, no road cars. My ACC beginner guide covers the first hours.
Both are better with a wheel. I keep the current picks in best sim racing wheels for PS5. I cannot tell you today which of those will work with EVO on PS5, because no supported list exists.
Should you wait for PS5 or buy a PC?
My honest advice:
- If you only have a PS5 and no plan for a PC, do not buy anything for EVO. Play GT7 or ACC and wait for a real date.
- If you already have a PC near the minimum spec, buy it on Steam now. The Early Access price is lower than the 1.0 price will be, by KUNOS's own word.
- If you are thinking of building a PC only for EVO, wait for 1.0. The game is still changing and the requirements could change with it.
If you are on Xbox, the picture is the same. I cover it in Assetto Corsa EVO on Xbox.
