This is the Assetto Corsa EVO car list for Early Access 0.9, the version that is live today.

I took the names from the official Assetto Corsa EVO page on 8 October 2026 and matched each car to the update that added it, using the KUNOS release posts and the Steam page. Car names are written the way KUNOS writes them.

How many cars are in Assetto Corsa EVO?

The official page shows 75 entries: 51 under Road and 24 under Racing.

Entries
Road51
Racing24
Total75

Three notes on that number.

It counts some variants and not others. The Datsun 240Z, the Toyota AE86 and the Toyota Supra have their tuned or drift versions as separate entries. The B16 engine swap of the Mini and the Weissach package of the Cayman GT4 RS are in the game by the 0.4 release post, but the page does not list them on their own.

The AE86 appears three times. Twice as "Toyota AE86" and once as "Toyota AE86 Tuned". The page does not say what separates the first two, so I left the list as KUNOS shows it.

It will grow. EVO is still in Early Access. Every update since 0.2 has added cars, and KUNOS says the roster keeps expanding on the way to version 1.0. I could not find an official number for the 1.0 car count, so I am not giving one.

"Launch" needs a caveat. I could not find an official car list for the first release on 16 January 2025. The cars marked Launch are the ones that no later update post names, so that label is my elimination, not a KUNOS statement.

A few names differ between sources. The 0.6 post calls the 288 GTO the "Ferrari GTO". The 0.9 post gives the RX-7 its full name, Mazda RX-7 FD Spirit R (Type A). The 0.5 post calls the Caterham the Seven 485 CSR Final Edition.

The racing cars by type

This grouping is mine, by what the cars are in real life. It is not a list of in-game classes.

  • GT3, five cars: Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II, BMW M4 GT3 EVO, Ferrari 296 GT3, Ford Mustang GT3, Porsche 992 GT3 R Rennsport.
  • GT2, four cars: Audi R8 LMS GT2, KTM X-BOW GT2, Maserati GT2, Mercedes-AMG GT2. The Porsche 935 and the 991II GT2 RS Clubsport Evo sit close to them.
  • GT4, three cars: Audi R8 LMS GT4 Evo, KTM X-BOW GT4, Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport.
  • One-make and cup cars: Mazda MX5 ND Cup, Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo, Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, BMW M2 CS Racing, Caterham Seven Academy Racer.
  • Formula 1: Ferrari F2004 and Ferrari SF-25.
  • Historic: Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA and Ferrari F40 LM.

Five GT3 cars is a thin grid next to the field in Assetto Corsa Competizione. If GT3 racing is all you want today, that is still the fuller garage. EVO's strength is the spread: a 130 hp Caterham, a Group B Peugeot and a modern F1 car in the same game.

Cars added in each update

The dates are from the KUNOS release posts. I could not confirm the date of 0.2 on an official page, so it has none.

The 0.4 drop is the biggest so far. KUNOS counted it as ten new vehicles, with the Mini, the Cayman GT4 RS and the Supra each in two variants.

What 0.9 changed for the cars

Three cars, and one change that touches a big part of the racing list.

KUNOS says 0.9 brought an updated racing slick tyre model across the GT racing cars, "from Mazda MX5 Cup to Ferrari F40". So if you tried the race cars in an earlier build and parked them, they deserve a second go.

The same update added Special Events with online leaderboards and mandatory pit stops for online races. Both are in the 0.9 release post.

One more thing since 0.9: on 7 October 2026 KUNOS revealed Free Roam, an open world built on the Eifel region around the Nürburgring. It will be playable for the first time at Sim Racing Expo in Frankfurt, 16 to 18 October. The reveal post gives no release date for players at home and names no new cars.

The game is still PC only. For the console side, see Assetto Corsa EVO on PS5.

The cars I would start with

This part is my opinion as a driver, not something from KUNOS.

Mazda MX5 ND Cup race car in Assetto Corsa EVO

Image: KUNOS Simulazioni

Mazda MX5 ND Cup. Low power, slick tyres, no aero to hide behind. A car like this teaches you to carry speed, because you cannot get it back on the straight. It is where I would send anyone who is new to race cars.

Caterham Seven Academy Racer. KUNOS quotes 130 hp, narrow tyres and no electronic assists. Same lesson as the Mazda with less grip. Good for learning to catch a slide early.

Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport. The step before GT3. KUNOS lists 425 hp with ABS and traction control. A mid-engine car with driver aids is a calm place to learn trail braking.

One GT3, and stick with it. Pick from the five and do not swap every evening. Seat time in one car beats a few laps in several, in a sim and on a real circuit. Which of the five is quickest in EVO is not something I can verify from a public source, so I am not ranking them.

Porsche 911 GT3 RS 992 in Assetto Corsa EVO

The Porsche 911 (992) GT3 RS, added in 0.5. Image: KUNOS Simulazioni

On the road side, the Mazda MX-5 NA and the Toyota GR86 are the gentle ones: light, rear-wheel drive, modest power. Leave the Ferrari Daytona SP3 and its 840 hp V12 for later.

Community cars and mods

The official list is not the whole story any more.

Update 0.7 shipped the first official car editor, and community cars worked in single player from that point. Update 0.8 let server operators run community cars in multiplayer, with a file check so every car on the grid matches. Custom track tools are not out yet by the 0.7 post.

I cover how that works in Assetto Corsa EVO mods.

Price and platforms

Assetto Corsa EVO is $39.99 on Steam in the US. On the day I checked it was discounted by 20% to $31.99. It has been in Early Access since 16 January 2025, and every car on this page comes with the base game. The Steam page shows no paid car packs today.

It is a PC game for now. For the console question, see Assetto Corsa EVO on Xbox. For the wider picture of the game, start with the Assetto Corsa EVO overview. And if you want loose surfaces under the same name, there is Assetto Corsa Rally.
