RaceRoom Free Tracks List: All 8 Free Tracks

RaceRoom has 8 free tracks with 23 layouts between them. I checked the official store on 5 October 2026. The old version of this page listed five. The number went up to eight on 24 March 2026, when Laguna Seca, Twin Ring Motegi and Mantorp Park were made free.

Here is the list, then a few lines on each track and the order I would learn them in.

The RaceRoom free tracks list

Length and turns are for the main layout, as the store lists them. Four of these are circuits with real international racing history: Portimao, Sepang, Motegi and Laguna Seca. That is a strong free list for any sim.

The free tracks one by one

Portimao Circuit

The Algarve circuit goes up and down all lap. Many corners are blind on entry because you arrive over a crest, and the last corner is a long, fast right that drops downhill onto the main straight. I raced at the real Portimao in Formula 3, and the hard part there is the same as in the game: you have to commit to the corner before you can see the exit. It is the free track I would learn first.

Sepang

Two long straights joined by a hairpin, then fast changes of direction and long medium speed corners. Sepang is wide, so it is a forgiving place to learn a new car and a very good place to race, because there is room to go side by side. I raced here in GP3, and the real track is just as wide as it looks in the game. The North and South layouts cut the lap in half if you want something shorter.

Twin Ring Motegi

Motegi is straights and hairpins. You brake hard, turn, and go full throttle again, lap after lap. It is the best free track to practise braking, because almost every corner starts with a big stop in a straight line and you see at once if you braked too early or too late.

WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca

A short lap with a lot of elevation and one corner everybody knows, the Corkscrew: you brake over a blind crest and the track falls away to the left and then to the right. Laguna Seca had been out of the game for a while and came back as free content in March 2026. One layout only, and you do not need more.

Mantorp Park

A short Swedish track, 3.0 km on the long layout and 2.4 km on the short one. It is a home of Swedish touring car racing, and in the game it suits touring cars and small cars, and a full grid here is busy from the first corner to the last.

Stowe Circuit

The small circuit on the infield of Silverstone. The lap is under two kilometres, so you do a lot of laps in ten minutes. That makes it my pick for testing: a new car, a setup change or new force feedback settings. You feel the difference quickly because the same corner comes back every 40 or 50 seconds.

RaceRoom Raceway

A fictional track that the store places in France, with 15 turns on the Grand Prix layout. With six layouts it is the free track with the most variety, and it is easy to learn.

Lakeview Hillclimb

The odd one of the list. It is a fictional hillclimb through a Swedish forest: one run of 10.3 km against the clock, no laps, 51 turns. You can also run it in reverse. Try it once with a car you know well. It is a very different kind of driving from circuit racing, and one mistake ends the run.

Which free tracks to learn first

1. Portimao. It has everything: elevation, blind entries, slow and fast corners. If you are quick here you will be quick on most tracks.
2. Sepang. Wide and forgiving, good for racing wheel to wheel with the AI or online.
3. Motegi. For your braking.
4. Laguna Seca. Short, so you learn it in an evening.
5. Stowe. For testing, any time you change something on the car or on the wheel.

Do 20 clean laps on one track before you move to the next. Going from track to track every five laps is the slowest way to improve. You learn the car when you stop thinking about where the track goes.

For cars, start from the RaceRoom free cars list. If the car does not feel right, set the wheel up first with my RaceRoom wheel and FFB settings, or the RaceRoom controller settings if you play on a pad.

How to try the paid tracks for free

The other 65 tracks in the store are paid. Before you buy one, use the test drive in the store: it lets you do some laps on paid content without paying. I would always do that first.
