Oulton Park is narrow, bumpy and lined with grass and barriers. It is the British track that scares people most.
The Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT3 is the reference car here, and by a lot. The Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 is 11 kg behind and the Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 is 12 kg behind.
The Aston is a base game car. So is the Nissan.
The lap itself, corner by corner, is in my Oulton Park track guide. If setups are new to you, read the ACC setup guide first. The car choice matters less than getting the pressures right.
The best cars at Oulton Park: the short answer
| Car | Full Grip BoP | Layout | How you get it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT3 | 0 kg (reference) | Front engine | Base game |
| Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 | -11 kg | Mid engine | 2023 GT World Challenge Pack |
| Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 | -12 kg | Front engine | Base game |
| Ford Mustang GT3 | -17 kg | Front engine | Free update |
| Honda NSX GT3 Evo | -22 kg | Mid engine | Base game |
The numbers come from Full Grip Motorsport's BoP for Oulton Park, read on 5 October 2026. It is a league balance built from hotlap pace, not the official one in the game.
It works with ballast. The quickest car at each track is the reference at 0 kg. Every other car runs lighter to keep up. The more weight a car has taken off, the further it is from the pace there. I only show their top five. The full table is on their site.
Eleven kilos to second place is a big lead. The table is spread out all the way down.
1. Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT3

Oulton Park goes up and down through parkland, and the car is always doing two things at once. Braking while turning. Turning over a crest. Accelerating over a bump.
The Aston is stable on the brakes and it soaks up kerbs and bumps well. On a track like this, that is most of what you need.
It lets you attack Cascades, the fast downhill left, and Druids, the fast double right in the woods, without waiting for the car to settle.
2. Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2

The agile choice. It is quick through the chicanes and the fast direction changes. The rear is lively over the bumps, and there is no room here for a slide.
3. Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3

A front engine car with a big engine and a lot of stability. It is 12 kg off, level with the Huracan in practice, and far easier to trust over the crests.
Other cars that work at Oulton Park
- Ford Mustang GT3 (-17 kg). Fourth at -17 kg. Stable and free. The straights are short here, so it cannot show its engine.
- Honda NSX GT3 Evo (-22 kg). Rotates well in the Shell Oils hairpin and the chicanes. Twenty two kilos off.
- BMW M4 GT3 (-24 kg). The forgiving one. It is 24 kg off the Aston, but if you are learning Oulton Park that matters less than staying on the road.
What Oulton Park rewards
A car that stays settled when the road does not.
The lap starts with Old Hall, a fast right, and then drops through Cascades to the lake. Island Bend is a fast left that leads straight into the banked Shell Oils hairpin.
Then two chicanes, Britten's and Hislops, with a short blast between and after them. Then Knickerbrook and the climb up Clay Hill, where the car goes light over the top.
Druids is the corner that matters most. A fast double apex right, blind on entry, with barriers close on the outside. Then Lodge, a downhill right onto the pit straight where the track falls away at the exit.
There is almost no run off anywhere. Grass, then a barrier.
So the car has to be predictable. Stable under braking, calm over bumps and crests. Pace comes second.
What the pro drivers say
Coach Dave Academy asked its pro drivers to rank the GT3 cars in April 2026. They put the Ford Mustang GT3 first everywhere and they name the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo as one of the cars to pick for Oulton Park.
Full Grip does not agree. The AMG is not among the strongest cars in their table for this track. I do not read that as one of them being wrong. One is pro drivers judging a car over a race distance on the official balance. The other is hotlap pace turned into ballast for a league. Different questions, different answers.
The best car for beginners at Oulton Park
The Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT3. It is the fastest car in the data and one of the calmest. You get both at once here.
The BMW M4 GT3 is the other safe choice if you already know it.
Sprint races and endurance races
Passing is very hard. The track is narrow from start to finish. The best chances are under braking for the Shell Oils hairpin and for Hislops, and into Old Hall if you get a run off Lodge.
In a sprint race, qualifying is nearly everything. Take the Aston.
In a long race the job is to finish. One wheel on the grass at Druids or Cascades ends it. The Aston or the Nissan, and leave a margin on the fast corners.
Pick the car you know
Oulton Park is one of the exceptions, and a happy one. The fastest car is also the one that keeps you out of the barriers. If you are still choosing, I go through the whole class in the fastest GT3 cars in ACC and through the way I would decide in how to choose a car in ACC.

FAQ
What is the fastest car at Oulton Park in ACC?
In Full Grip Motorsport's track by track BoP, read on 5 October 2026, it is the Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT3, with the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 next at -11 kg. That is league data built from hotlap pace, not an official ranking.
Is the Ford Mustang GT3 the best car at Oulton Park?
Not in Full Grip's data. It sits fourth here at -17 kg. Coach Dave's pro drivers still rate it the fastest GT3 car across the game, so it is never a bad choice. It is just not the standout at Oulton Park.
What is the best car for beginners at Oulton Park?
The Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT3. It is the reference car here by 11 kg, it comes with the base game and it is calm over the bumps and crests. That is what you want at Oulton Park.
Why is Oulton Park so hard in ACC?
It is narrow, bumpy and has almost no run off. Several fast corners, Cascades, Druids and Clay Hill among them, are blind or over crests. A small mistake puts you on the grass and then in a barrier.
Where can you overtake at Oulton Park in ACC?
Under braking for the Shell Oils hairpin and for the Hislops chicane, and into Old Hall with a good run out of Lodge. The rest of the lap is too narrow.
Do I need DLC to race at Oulton Park?
Yes. It comes in the British GT Pack, together with two other British circuits.
Does the balance of performance change from track to track?
Yes. ACC uses a different balance for each circuit, which is why the fastest car is not the same everywhere. Leagues such as Full Grip Motorsport and Low Fuel Motorsport can run their own custom BoP on top of that.
