GT4 is the class where the car matters least. All 11 cars have little downforce and modest power, and the balance of performance keeps them very close.
So the honest answer to "what is the fastest GT4 car in ACC" has two parts. One car is a bit ahead over a lap on most tracks. And every other car is fastest at something.
One note on sources. For GT3 there is a pace order tested by pro drivers on the final version of the game. For GT4 there is nothing that recent. What follows is the view the ACC community has settled on over the years, and how I would use it. ACC is on version 1.10.4, its final version, so none of this should move again.
The fastest GT4 car overall: Porsche 718 Cayman GT4

If you want one name, it is the Cayman. It is a mid engine car, it is strong on almost every track, and in a straight line it is one of the best cars in the class on the brakes.
It has one habit you need to know about. Lift off the throttle while you are turning into a fast corner and the rear comes round. Do your braking in a straight line, bring the car in on a little throttle, and it is quick everywhere.
That makes it the fastest car, and not the easiest one. If you are new to the class, the next car is a better start.
All 11 cars with engines and steering locks are in the ACC GT4 cars list. For setup work, the ACC setup guide covers GT4 as well as GT3.
The fastest GT4 car for each job
| If you want | Car | What you give up |
|---|---|---|
| The fastest all-rounder | Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 | The rear moves if you lift on the way in |
| Pace without the learning curve | McLaren 570S GT4 | A bit of understeer |
| Corner speed with real power | Audi R8 LMS GT4 | Braking needs setup work |
| Top speed | BMW M4 GT4 | Slow corners, some understeer |
| Stability | Mercedes-AMG GT4 | Heavy, pushes the front in slow corners |
| Mid corner grip and wet pace | KTM X-Bow GT4 | Short of power on the straights |
McLaren 570S GT4: easiest to drive fast

The McLaren does nothing badly. It takes kerbs, it is stable, and it is right behind the Porsche on pace. It pushes the front a little, which is exactly why it is easy. Understeer costs you a tenth. Oversteer costs you the race.
This is the car I would give someone for their first GT4 race.
Audi R8 LMS GT4: quick in the corners

The Audi carries speed through a corner and has a V10 to pull it out the other side. On lap time it is right there with the Porsche.
Its weak point is braking. On the default setup it can be nervous when you hit the pedal hard, and you need to work on brake bias before it gives you confidence. My ACC braking guide covers how.
BMW M4 GT4: top speed

The BMW is the one to have at Monza and Paul Ricard. It is the fastest GT4 car in a straight line, which makes it easy to pass with and very hard to pass.
You pay for it in the slow stuff. It is a big car and it does not like to rotate in a hairpin.
Mercedes-AMG GT4: most stable

Second for top speed, first for stability. The AMG rides kerbs and bumps without complaint and goes where you point it.
It is heavy, so it understeers into slow corners and it uses more fuel than the lighter cars. In a long race that is one more thing to plan.
KTM X-Bow GT4: mid corner and rain

The KTM is small, light and has more grip in the middle of a corner than anything else here. At the Hungaroring or through the first sector at Suzuka it is a different class of car.
In the wet it gets even better. When the track is soaked, this is the GT4 car to be in. More on that in wet weather driving in ACC.
On a long straight it is a sitting duck. Pick your tracks.
All 11 GT4 cars compared

| Car | Type | Fast at | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Alpine A110 GT4 | Light | Tight corners, mid corner speed | Kerbs, straights |
| Aston Martin Vantage GT4 | All-rounder | A bit of everything, good front end | No single big strength |
| Audi R8 LMS GT4 | All-rounder | Carrying speed through corners | Braking stability |
| BMW M4 GT4 | Power | Straights, kerbs | Tight corners |
| Chevrolet Camaro GT4.R | Power | Acceleration out of slow corners, braking | Rear on exit, roll in fast corners |
| Ginetta G55 GT4 | Light | Turn in, mid corner speed | Kerbs, top speed |
| KTM X-Bow GT4 | Light | Mid corner grip, rain | Straights |
| Maserati GranTurismo MC GT4 | On its own | Mid corner speed, learning the limit | No traction control, no ABS |
| McLaren 570S GT4 | All-rounder | Everything, kerbs | Mild understeer |
| Mercedes-AMG GT4 | Power | Stability, kerbs, straights | Weight, fuel use |
| Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 | All-rounder | Braking in a straight line, most tracks | Lift off oversteer |

The pattern is simple. Light cars win in the corners and lose on the straights. Power cars do the opposite. The all-rounders sit in the middle and that is why they top most rankings.
The Maserati is a special case

The Maserati GranTurismo MC GT4 has no traction control and no ABS. It is the only car in ACC like that.
So how fast it is depends on you. A driver with good feet can make it work in the dry. In the rain, or over a long stint when you are tired, the cars with driver aids will be more consistent. Consistency is what wins races.
I would not race it for results. I would drive it to learn where the limit of the brakes is, because nothing else in the game teaches you that so quickly.
How much does the car matter in GT4?
Less than in any other class. In the back to back tests that have been published, the gap from the fastest GT4 car to the slowest around a two minute lap is under a second.
Compare that with what a driver leaves on the table. One late brake, one early lift, one bad exit onto a straight, and you have lost more than the whole class is spread by.
In a GT4 car that last one is the big one. With so little power, a slow exit follows you all the way down the next straight. It is the same in karting, where you have even less power to cover a mistake. Get the exit right before you worry about the entry.
So pick the car you like and learn it. If you want the differences between the two main classes, read GT3 vs GT4 in ACC. If you are still choosing, how to choose your car in ACC goes through it step by step. And the GT3 version of this page is the fastest GT3 cars in ACC.
