This is the Project Motor Racing car list, class by class. First the 70 cars in the base game, then every DLC car by pack with the price.
I read every class page on the official cars page and the Steam page of each pack on 8 October 2026. The game was on version 2.3.0.1 that day. Car names are written the way the official site writes them.
How many cars are in Project Motor Racing?
Short answer: 70 in the base game, 111 with every DLC pack.
| Cars | Classes | |
|---|---|---|
| Base game | 70 | 14 |
| DLC packs, Steam's count | 41 | 11 |
| Everything | 111 | 25 |
Two notes on those numbers, because the sources do not fully agree.
The store line. Steam still describes the game as 70 cars across 13 classes. The official class pages show 14 classes that are not marked as DLC, and I count 70 cars in them. One of those is the Lamborghini Temerario in the new Track Day class, which the version 2.3 notes say was added to the base game on 23 September 2026. Without it I count 69 cars in 13 classes. I could not find where the one car difference comes from, so I give you my count and theirs.
The Japanese Prototypes Pack. Steam lists nine cars in that pack. The official class pages show five. The four Nissans are missing from the site. That is why the site's own pages add up to 107 cars and Steam's lists add up to 111.

Base game: historic classes
This is where Project Motor Racing is different from most sims. More than half of the base cars are from past eras.

Which classes I would start with
This part is my opinion, not the developer's.
GT4 first. Ten cars, low power, and they move around enough to teach you the game's tyres without biting. In any new sim I start in the slowest full class and stay there until the lap times stop jumping.
Then GT3. I raced GT3 in real life, so it is the class where I can judge a sim quickest. With ten cars here the grids are varied. The official news page says GT3 and GT4 handling was rebuilt in update 2.1 and LMDh got the first pass of an overhaul in August 2026, so these are the classes the studio has worked on most recently.
The 992 Cup and the MX-5 if you want close racing. One car, everybody equal. The result is down to you.
Group C and GT1 when you want to be scared. These are the cars this game has and most others do not. Big power, a lot of downforce at speed and not much help at low speed. Do not start here.
The packs. The Aussie Rivals Pack costs nothing. After that I would pick by taste, not by car count: GTE if you like modern GT racing, Group 5 for $4.99 if you want turbo monsters, GT Icons if you want the 1960s and 1970s cars.
How it compares
A base list of 70 cars is not huge. What stands out is the spread: 14 classes, and eight of them historic.
If you want to compare, I keep the Automobilista 2 car list and the iRacing car list on this site too. The circuits are on my Project Motor Racing track list. For the game itself, with platforms, prices and what the updates changed, go to my Project Motor Racing page.
