Features to Look For in a Sim Racing Monitor
Besides having a wide field of view, there are other features that you should look for in a simulation racing monitor, such as the following:

Frames per second (FPS)
Other than the field of view (FOV), choosing a monitor for racing simulation is not much different than choosing a gaming monitor. Racing softwares is essentially a game, so you would need a monitor with high frames per second (FPS).
There are no rules when it comes to the FPS number that your monitor should be able to provide, but we always recommend going for monitors with at least 60 FPS for a smooth racing experience without any disturbance.

Refresh rate
Similar to frames per second, refresh rate will determine the smoothness of your racing experience, that is why both gamers and simulation racers have to look for a monitor with an ideal refresh rate.
Refresh rate is measured by hertz (Hz). For both gaming and simulation racing, the ideal monitor should have at least 120 Hz refresh rate to nullify flickering as much as possible. Remember that both refresh rate and frame per second can significantly affect your racing performance.

Response time
Response time is the time the monitor takes to transition from one colour to another.
Even for a slow monitor, it would be hard to catch the response time with our own eye, but response time can essentially be measured from how long the screen takes to switch from black to white and to black again.
As we mentioned, it will be extremely hard to catch the response time even with slow monitors. However, a slightly lower response time may contribute to the smoothness of your gameplay.
With the current state of technology, you really should not settle for any monitor with response time higher than 1 millisecond.

Resolution
This is arguably the most important factor for most gamers and simulation racers. When combined with high response time, FPS, and refresh rate, a monitor with high resolution (we recommend at least 1920×1080) will not only make your experience more immersive, but also improve your overall performance.

There are 2 different graphic cards you can find in most monitors, which are FreeSync (AMD) and G-Sync (NVIDIA). Depending on how you want to set up your monitors( single/double/triple monitors), you should always check if the graphic card supports you to do so.
