The first step to get the best wheel settings will require you to adjust the Podium F1 DD2 and CSL Elite wheels from the Fanatec software dashboard.

What are the best Fanatec Podium DD2 & CSL ELite settings for F1 2021?

Our recommended F1 2020 Fanatec settings for the Podium DD2 and CSL Elite are:

  • Steering deadzone = 0
  • Steering linearity = 5
  • Steering saturation = 0
  • Throttle deadzone = 0
  • Throttle linearity = 0
  • Throttle saturation = 0
  • Brake deadzone = 0
  • Brake linearity = 0
  • Brake saturation = 0

Vibration and force feedback settings

  • Vibration & force feedback = On
  • Vibration & force feedback Strength = 70
  • On track effects = 25
  • Rumble strip effects = 20
  • Off track effects = 17
  • Wheel damper = 0
  • Understeer enhance = Off

So as you can see all of the deadzones and linearity are set to 0 in order to have the most precise and realistic steering possible.

The vibration and force feedback settings will also play a pretty big role in how realistic the steering feels.

Remember though that you’ll need to adjust these settings according to your own personal preferences.
