The best F1 25 Japan setup runs wings at 31 and 12, the differential at 100% on throttle and 20% off, suspension at 41 and 1, anti-roll bars at 1 and 15, ride height at 22 and 41 and front brake bias at 54%. Suzuka is a lap of fast direction changes, and every number here is chosen to make the front of the car turn.
The numbers come from F1Laps, which reports what the 100 fastest setups at this track have in common. I read them on 5 October 2026. I have not tested this exact setup in the game, so take it as community data. The reading of it is mine.

Why this setup works at Suzuka
Suzuka is 5.807 km long and has 18 corners. It is the only figure of eight on the calendar, so the lap crosses over itself and you get close to the same number of left and right corners. The first sector is the Esses, five fast changes of direction in a row. Then come the two Degners, the hairpin, the long double left of Spoon, the flat out 130R and a slow chicane before the line.

Wings at 31 and 12. This is the strangest split in the game. The front wing is in the top half, with 14 tracks below it and nine above, and no other track uses 31. The rear wing is low. Only Baku, Las Vegas, Miami, Monza, Jeddah and Spa run less than 12. So you get the front wing of a high downforce track and the rear wing of a fast one. That gives a car that turns in hard through the Esses and still has top speed on the run to 130R. You can compare it with every other track in my F1 25 setups for every track.
Differential at 100% and 20%. Fully locked on throttle, like 19 of the 24 tracks. Off throttle, 20% is the lowest value any track uses. Only Zandvoort and Jeddah match it. An open differential off throttle lets the car rotate when you lift, and at Suzuka you lift and turn far more often than you brake hard.
Suspension at 41 and 1. The front is at the stiffest value used anywhere, shared by 14 tracks. The rear is at the softest, shared with China, Mexico, Zandvoort, Singapore and Spa. A stiff front gives a sharp response when you change direction. A soft rear keeps traction on the exits.
Anti-roll bars at 1 and 15. The front bar is the softest in the game. Only China runs the same 1. The rear at 15 is a little above the middle, with ten tracks softer and 12 stiffer, and Abu Dhabi on the same value. A soft front bar and a stiffer rear bar is the classic way to get rid of understeer in long corners.
Ride height at 22 and 41. The front is high. Only Imola and Las Vegas run more than 22. The rear is very low. Only Spa runs less than 41. A low rear means less drag and a stable floor in the fast corners. There are few big kerbs to ride here, so you can get away with it.
Brake bias at 54%. The same as 17 of the 24 tracks. Brake pressure is 100%.
Tyres at 29.5 and 21.7 psi. The fronts are at the highest pressure any track uses. No other track runs 21.7 at the rear, and eight run more.

How to drive it
Turn 1 is a lift, turn 2 is the brake. You arrive flat out. Lift to turn into the first right, then brake as the corner tightens into turn 2. Brake too early and you lose two tenths before the lap has started.
The Esses are one corner. Turns 3 to 7 only work as a rhythm. If you run wide out of one, you are late for the next and the mistake grows all the way up the hill. Use small lifts in place of the brake, and give up a little speed in turn 3 to be on line for the rest.
Be careful at the first Degner. It is fast, narrow and has a kerb on the inside that throws the car wide. Take a little of it, no more. The second Degner is a hard brake straight after, so get the car settled quickly.
Turn late into the hairpin. It is the slowest corner on the lap. Brake while the track is still curving right, turn in late and squeeze the throttle. The differential is locked on throttle, so full power too early spins the inside wheel.
Spoon decides your speed down the back straight. It is a double left. Carry speed into the first part, let the car drift to the middle of the track, then hold a tight line through the second part and get on the throttle early. Everything from here to the chicane is flat.
130R is flat. With this setup you do not lift in the dry. Turn in smoothly and use all of the exit kerb.
Brake late for the chicane. It is the best overtaking spot and the easiest place to lock a front. Brake around the 100 metre board, stay off the second kerb and be patient on the throttle for the last corner.

How to adjust it to your driving
Change one thing at a time and drive three clean laps before you judge it.
- The rear is too loose in the Esses. Add rear wing, from 12 to 15 or 16. It is the first thing I would change. You lose a little on the straights and gain a car you can trust.
- The rear steps out when you lift. Raise the off throttle differential from 20% to 30%. The wet set uses 35%.
- The rear slides in Spoon and at the Degners. Soften the rear anti-roll bar from 15 to 12, or stiffen the front bar from 1 to 4.
- You get wheelspin out of the hairpin and the chicane. Lower the on throttle differential from 100% to 90%.
- The car still understeers in the Esses. Add one or two clicks of front wing before you touch anything else.
- The car bottoms out or snaps on a kerb. Raise the rear ride height from 41 to 43.
- You are on a controller. This setup is nervous on a pad. Start with rear wing at 16, off throttle at 30% and on throttle at 80%. My F1 25 controller settings cover the calibration side.
Wet setup for Japan
Compared with the dry setup:
- The rear wing nearly doubles, from 12 to 23. The front wing comes down one click, from 31 to 30.
- The differential changes at both ends, from 100% and 20% to 90% and 35%.
- The rear suspension stiffens from 1 to 6. The front stays at 41.
- The anti-roll bars move towards each other, from 1 and 15 to 6 and 12.
- The rear ride height goes up from 41 to 45. The front stays at 22.
- Brake bias moves forward from 54% to 55%.
- Tyre pressures drop, from 29.5 and 21.7 to 27.6 and 21 psi.
Camber, toe and brake pressure do not change.
The wet set tells you what the dry set is: a car on the edge at the rear. As soon as the grip goes away, the fastest drivers put the rear wing back and calm everything down. If the dry setup feels too sharp for a long race, the wet set shows you which way to go.
Japan setup for the 2026 Season Pack car
The 2026 cars arrived in F1 25 with the 2026 Season Pack. They have their own setups, and a 2025 setup does not carry over. F1Laps files these cars under F1 26. These are the sets for Japan as I read them on 5 October 2026.
| Setting | 2026 car, dry | 2026 car, wet |
|---|---|---|
| Front wing | 39.5 | 28 |
| Rear wing | 22 | 24.5 |
| Differential on throttle | 100% | 60% |
| Differential off throttle | 40% | 42.5% |
| Engine braking | 50% | 50% |
| Front camber | -3.50 | -3.50 |
| Rear camber | -2.00 | -2.00 |
| Front toe | 0.00 | 0.01 |
| Rear toe | 0.10 | 0.12 |
| Front suspension | 41 | 37 |
| Rear suspension | 14 | 15 |
| Front anti-roll bar | 4.5 | 7 |
| Rear anti-roll bar | 9 | 8 |
| Front ride height | 23 | 24 |
| Rear ride height | 46 | 48 |
| Brake pressure | 100% | 99% |
| Front brake bias | 56% | 57% |
| Front tyre pressures | 27.5 psi | 27.5 psi |
| Rear tyre pressures | 22 psi | 21.3 psi |
The 2026 car keeps the idea and softens it. The wings are 39.5 and 22, still with far more front than rear. The differential is 100% on throttle and 40% off, so twice the lock when you lift. The front suspension stays at 41 and the rear goes up to 14. The anti-roll bars are 4.5 and 9, ride height is 23 and 46 and brake bias moves forward to 56%.
The 2026 data on F1Laps still moves from one day to the next. Treat it as a starting point and check the source before a league race.
Other tracks and older games
For the only other track with the front anti-roll bar at 1 and the rear suspension at 1, see my F1 25 China setup. For the opposite kind of lap, all straights and chicanes, see my F1 25 Canada setup. For the other great lap of fast corners, see my F1 25 Silverstone setup. For another track with the off throttle differential at 20% and the rear suspension at 1, see my F1 25 Zandvoort setup. If you are on an older game, I have a Japan setup for F1 23.
FAQ
What is the best setup for Japan in F1 25?
Wings 31 and 12, differential 100% on throttle and 20% off, camber -3.50 and -2.00, toe 0.00 and 0.10, suspension 41 and 1, anti-roll bars 1 and 15, ride height 22 and 41, brake pressure 100%, front brake bias 54%, front tyres 29.5 psi and rear tyres 21.7 psi.
What wing level should I run at Suzuka in F1 25?
31 at the front and 12 at the rear in the dry. If the rear feels loose in the Esses, go up to 15 or 16 at the rear. In the wet, run 30 and 23.
Why is the rear wing so low at Suzuka?
Because the fastest setups use the front wing and a soft front anti-roll bar to make the car turn, then take rear wing off for speed on the straights and through 130R. Only six tracks run less rear wing than 12.
What is the best wet setup for Japan in F1 25?
Wings 30 and 23, differential 90% and 35%, suspension 41 and 6, anti-roll bars 6 and 12, ride height 22 and 45 and brake bias 55%. Front tyres run 27.6 psi and rears 21 psi.
Does the F1 25 Japan setup work on the 2026 cars?
No. The 2026 Season Pack car runs wings at 39.5 and 22, the differential at 100% and 40%, ride height at 23 and 46 and brake bias at 56%. Use the 2026 table on this page.
Where does this setup come from?
From F1Laps, which analyses the 100 fastest setups its users have driven at Suzuka. I read the numbers on 5 October 2026. They can move when the game is patched.
