The best F1 25 Zandvoort setup runs wings at 47 and 41, the differential at 100% on throttle and 20% off, suspension at 41 and 1, anti-roll bars at 7.5 and 20, ride height at 22 and 42 and front brake bias at 51%. It is a maximum downforce setup. Only Monaco, Hungary and Singapore run more wing.

The numbers come from F1Laps, which reports what the 100 fastest setups at this track have in common. I read them on 5 October 2026. I have not tested this exact setup in the game, so take it as community data. The reading of it is mine.

Why this setup works at Zandvoort

Circuit Zandvoort is 4.259 km long and has 14 corners. It sits in the dunes on the Dutch coast and it is narrow, fast and never flat. I raced here in Formula 3, before the two banked corners were built, and it was already one of the most physical laps of the year. There is no time to breathe between corners.

The lap runs clockwise and has very little straight. The pit straight is the only place where top speed counts, so the setup puts everything into cornering grip.

Wings at 47 and 41. No other track uses these exact values. Twenty run less at both ends, and only Monaco, Hungary and Singapore run more. You can compare it with every other track in my F1 25 setups for every track.

Differential at 100% and 20%. Fully locked on throttle, like 19 of the 24 tracks. Off throttle, 20% is the lowest value any track uses, shared with Suzuka and Jeddah. An open differential on entry lets the car rotate without a fight, which is what you want in long corners like Scheivlak.

Camber and toe. Camber is -3.50 and -2.00 and toe is 0.00 and 0.10, the values almost every track uses.

Suspension at 41 and 1. The stiffest front any track runs, shared by fourteen of them, and the softest rear, shared with Shanghai, Suzuka, Mexico City, Singapore and Spa. The soft rear gives traction out of the slow corners and keeps the car calm over the crests.

Anti-roll bars at 7.5 and 20. The front is close to the middle of the range. Ten tracks run less and thirteen run more. The rear at 20 is the stiffest any track uses, shared with Mexico City and Spa. With the rear springs at 1, the bar is what makes the car rotate.

Ride height at 22 and 42. The front is on the high side. Fourteen tracks run less and only Imola and Las Vegas run more. The rear is low. Only Interlagos, Suzuka and Spa run less.

Brake bias at 51%. The lowest of any track, and no other track matches it. Seventeen of the other 23 run 54%. A rearward bias helps the car turn while you are still on the brakes, and at Zandvoort you trail the brakes into almost every corner. Brake pressure is 100%.

Tyres at 29.5 left, 28.85 right and 20.9 psi at the rear. Zandvoort is the only track where the two front tyres run different pressures. The left front is at 29.5 psi, the highest front value any track uses, shared by eleven of them. The lap is clockwise, so the left front does the most work. The rears at 20.9 are among the lowest. Only Monaco runs less.

How to drive it

Tarzan is the overtaking spot. Turn 1 is a long, slightly banked right hander at the end of the only real straight. Brake late, turn in from the outside and let the banking hold the car. You can take more than one line here, which is why passes work.

Use the banking in Turn 3. Hugenholtz is steeply banked. The high line is longer but it gives you a better exit up the hill. Go in on the middle of the track, let the car climb, and get on the throttle early. With the differential locked, be smooth, or the rear steps out as the banking flattens.

Scheivlak takes commitment. Turn 7 is a fast downhill right, blind on entry. With this much wing the car holds. Lift, turn in once and trust it. A second steering input in the middle of the corner sends you wide onto the gravel side.

Be tidy from Turn 8 to Turn 10. These are medium speed corners where the low brake bias helps. Keep a little brake on as you turn in and the car rotates. Release too early and it pushes wide.

Stay off the chicane kerbs. At Turns 11 and 12 the stiff rear bar makes the car jump if you take too much kerb. Use a little of the first, none of the second, and focus on the exit.

The last corner is flat. Turn 14 is banked, and with wings at 47 and 41 it is full throttle. Turn 13 before it is the one that counts. Take a late apex there and you carry the speed all the way down the pit straight.

How to adjust it to your driving

Change one thing at a time and drive three clean laps before you judge it.

  • The rear locks or steps out under braking. Move the brake bias forward from 51% to 53%. A bias of 51% is fast, but it asks for a clean release of the pedal. This is the first change I would make.
  • The rear slides on corner exit. Lower the on throttle differential from 100% to 90%.
  • The car is nervous in Scheivlak. Soften the rear anti-roll bar from 20 to 16.
  • The car turns too sharply on entry. Raise the off throttle differential from 20% to 30%, the value the wet set uses.
  • The car understeers in the long corners. Soften the front anti-roll bar from 7.5 to 6.
  • The car bounces over the kerbs. Raise the rear ride height from 42 to 45.
  • You are on a controller. Start with the brake bias at 54%, the on throttle differential at 85% and the rear anti-roll bar at 14. My F1 25 controller settings cover the calibration side.

Do not take wing off for the straight. Overtaking here is hard with any setup, and a car that is slow in the corners is slow everywhere on this lap.

Wet setup for Zandvoort

The wet set changes almost everything. Compared with the dry setup:

  • The wings come down, from 47 and 41 to 40 and 37.5. The front drops more than the rear, so the balance moves to the rear.
  • The on throttle differential drops from 100% to 75%. Off throttle goes up from 20% to 30%.
  • Toe goes up a touch, from 0.00 and 0.10 to 0.01 and 0.11.
  • The front suspension softens from 41 to 38 and the rear stiffens from 1 to 5.
  • The front anti-roll bar goes up from 7.5 to 12 and the rear comes down from 20 to 12.
  • Ride height goes up from 22 and 42 to 24 and 49.
  • The brake bias moves forward from 51% to 55%.
  • The front tyres drop from 29.5 and 28.85 psi to 24.2 on both sides.

Only the camber, the brake pressure and the rear tyre pressures at 20.9 psi stay the same.

Every one of these changes makes the car calmer. Less front wing, a softer rear bar, a more open differential on throttle and more front brake bias all take away rotation. In the rain at Zandvoort that is what you need, because the run off is short and a spin usually ends in the gravel.
