What are the best tracks in iRacing?
The majority of tracks in iRacing are very much affordable, and since you will get permanent access to the tracks that you purchased, it is always worth it to explore new tracks regardless of which one you decide to purchase.
However, since the tracks are not free, here are some of the best tracks in iRacing that you should consider purchasing:
-
Autodromo Nazionale di Monza ($14.95)
Autodromo Nazionale di Monza is one of the most iconic race tracks in Europe and is known to be the home of Italian motor racing. At $14.95, Autodromo Nazionale di Monza is as expensive as it gets for a race track in iRacing.
However, keep in mind that you will have access to 9 configurations of Monza, which may keep you busy for weeks, or even months!
In terms of layout, Autodromo Nazionale di Monza is a combination of satisfying long straights, chicanes, and fast-sweeping 90 degree turns. Overall, this circuit will test out your techniques and control.
Although it may be challenging, Monza is still suitable for racers of all levels, including beginner sim racers.
-
Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps ($14.95)
One of the benefits of racing with iRacing is that despite how difficult it is to adapt to the software in the first place, iRacing offers plenty of tracks for racers of different levels. If you are new to sim racing or iRacing in general, it is always recommended to start with free tracks where you can practice your skill.
Once you get the hang of it, you can always test yourself out with tracks like Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, a Belgian road course famous for its extremely difficult layout. Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps itself has the longest lap in Formula 1, which makes races in this particular track relatively more exhausting.
-
Daytona International Speedway ($14.95)
Daytona International Speedway, home of the NASCAR 500 and commonly known as the World Center of Racing is undoubtedly one of the tracks that you should not miss in iRacing.
Just like most legendary venues in iRacing, Daytona International Speedway is relatively more expensive at $14.95, but you will receive all 5 configurations upon your purchase.
At first glance, Daytona International Speedway has a rather simple roval shape layout. However, this particular race track is known as a venue where a driver’s career could be made or broken.
Races in Daytona International Speedway are not necessarily hard for their layout, but the extremely fast pace and incredible speed, especially on the straightaways.
-
Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit ($14.95)
Next up is the Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit, a phenomenal race track that you absolutely can not miss in iRacing. In the world of motorsport racing, Mount Panorama is known as one of the most dangerous race tracks with a stunning vertical elevation of 571 ft from its lowest to its highest point.
Races in Mount Panorama are always dangerous, but that is what makes this track popular, a thrilling combination between speed and extremely tight turns. Eventually, we highly recommend giving Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit a try, but this is not a suitable track for beginners.
-
Nurburgring Nordschleife ($14.95)
We will get back to more beginner-friendly options shortly, but now it is about one of the most popular race tracks amongst every racing software, the legendary Nurburgring Nordschleife.
Located in Germany, Nurburgring Nordschleife is a road course that has one of the most gruesome layouts in the world of motorsport racing.
In sim racing, a little bit of luck can always be useful, but not in Nurburgring Nordschleife.
Here, only skills and experience will hand you victory, as the track itself has more than 150 turns with some of the sharpest and hardest corners in the world. In the end, what matters the most when racing on this track is consistency, which is not an easy thing to achieve particularly in this track.
-
Sonoma Raceway ($14.95)
Not all of the famous race tracks are hard to drive. There are plenty of options when it comes to iconic venues that are suitable for racers of all levels, just like the Sonoma Raceway.
Located in California, USA, Sonoma Raceway is one of the best race tracks in America known for its beautiful scenery of Napa Valley.
You will receive a total of 5 configurations with Sonoma Raceway.
The layout itself has a total of 12 turns.
Granted that Sonoma is not the hardest track to race in, a race in Sonoma is always challenging as it never fails to test out your overall skills and patience, which is often the key to winning a race in Sonoma Raceway.
-
Red Bull ring ($11.95)
Last but not least, The Bullring. A simple race track that is suitable for all levels including novice to expert. Located in Las Vegas, Nevada, The Bullring has a D-shaped layout with a short length of just 0.6 km/0.38 miles.
The turns in The Bullring are only 8 degrees which are very easy to handle and adapt with.
What makes The Bullring a great track to race on is not the layout itself, but the challenge of racing with other racers on a short track, where races are very fast-paced and overtaking each other can be extremely hard to do.
For a lot of sim racers in iRacing, this is the perfect track if you are looking for a short yet action-packed race.
