How frustrating is it to have zero competition from AI in Assetto Corsa Competizione?
I mean, it’s incredible how easy it can be to win a quick race by starting last on the grid while racing against AI.
It seems like the competition is very very low sometimes, especially if your “Opponent Aggressiveness” setting is not set high enough.
However, there are a couple of settings that can be done to increase the difficulty of the AI.
That’s why we’ve created this quick guide so that you can finally find the right settings for having a decent fight with AI drivers.
I know online races tend to be way more competitive and that’s why drivers tend to switch pretty soon to it, but for those who first wanted to craft their skills against AI then this guide is for you.

What’s the best way to make ACC AI faster?
The short answer is settings.
You can increase the level of competitiveness from AI drivers by simply turning up the “Opponent skill” settings as well as the “Opponent aggressiveness” before launching your quick race.
What are ACC Best AI settings?
Here below you can find probably the best AI settings to finally get some competition in your races.
- Opponent skill = 98-100
- Opponent Aggressiveness = 100
As you can see, both the settings are nearly maxed since lower values below 90 or so generally make the race super easy and boring.
So these settings will put some serious pressure on you but it will also make the race a lot more fun and exciting.
Doing this you will find that your qualifying times will also improve since you will have to push more and get the most out of your car.
How does AI work in ACC?
AI drivers’ speed will depend entirely on the settings that you’ll set before starting the race.
For example, if you set the “opponent skill” to 97, that will mean the AI will be driving at 97% of its potential.
The “opponent aggressiveness” will change how much the AI is willing to defend its position or to overtake you.
According to this Reddit user, anything below 100 we’ll be too easy to race against and we agree with that statement.
Keep in mind that these settings will not make the AI perfectly competitive as a pro online sim driver, but it will for sure improve the overall difficulty of your race.
This is why it’s important to set the “Opponent skill” and “Opponent aggressiveness” settings to the max and then experiment with different values to find the perfect sweet spot for you.
