Gran Turismo 7's garage has grown to 579 cars as of update 1.70 (June 11, 2026). That's a long way from the 424 we started with at launch in March 2022, and it means most car lists you'll find online, including the old version of this one, are badly out of date.
So I've rebuilt this page from scratch. Below you'll find the current car count, every brand in the game with how many cars it has, what Polyphony added in 2026, and my honest advice on which machines are worth your credits. I've done thousands of laps in GT7 between wheel tests and daily races, and I've raced GT3 machinery in real life, so the picks are mine, not a press release.
One thing I've deliberately removed: the per-car credit prices the old list carried. Used Car Dealership and Legend Car prices in GT7 rotate and fluctuate with real-world market data, so a static price list is wrong within weeks. I'd rather give you fewer numbers that are true than hundreds that aren't.
How many cars are in GT7 in 2026?
As of update 1.70, GT7 has 579 cars: 570 standard cars, 3 special editions, and 6 tied to paid DLC. They come from 76 manufacturers, from Toyota's 43 entries down to one-car garages like KTM, Radical and BVLGARI.
Polyphony has shipped content updates roughly every five to seven weeks since launch, almost always with three to five free cars each. The roster has grown by ~155 cars in four and a half years without a single paid car pack being required, still the best value in console racing, if you ask me.
Where you actually buy cars in GT7
The list below tells you how many cars each brand has, but knowing where to buy them matters just as much:
- Brand Central: new cars from 2001 onwards, fixed prices. Always in stock.
- Used Car Dealership: rotating stock of older road cars. Prices move up and down; if the car you want is listed, buy it now, because it will disappear from rotation.
- Legend Car Dealership: the Hagerty collection: classics and race legends. Stock rotates and some cars only reappear every couple of months. This is where the 20-million-credit machines live, see the most expensive cars in GT7.
- Invitations: Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Aston Martin, Bugatti, Citroën and Pagani lock a few halo cars behind invites you win from roulette tickets. Annoying system, no way around it.
If your credit balance is the problem, my GT7 money guide covers the grinds that actually pay per hour.

Counts are current as of update 1.70. I've grouped brands by region the same way the game does.

Porsche passing Ferrari for the biggest European garage tells you where Polyphony's licensing energy has gone, ten of those 33 Porsches sit in the Legend dealer. Ferrari still has the strongest invite-only lineup, for better or worse.
American brands

The American list is thinner but the hits are real: GT40 Mk I, Cobra Daytona, the Camaro Race-Mod added this year. The one-car custom shops (Roadster Shop, Wicked Fabrication and friends) are GT7's love letter to SEMA builds.
What's new in the 2026 updates
Every car added this year, verified against the patch notes:
- Update 1.70, June 11, 2026 ("Hypercars"). The big one: Porsche 963 '24, Ferrari 499P '23, Peugeot 9X8 '25 and BMW M Hybrid V8 '25, the actual Le Mans Hypercar/LMDh grid, all Gr.1, all 3,000,000 credits in Brand Central, plus the Porsche 911 Turbo S (992) Safety Car. It came with a Gr.1 Prototype Series at La Sarthe, Sardegna and Watkins Glen. If you like endurance racing, this update alone justifies reinstalling; my best Gr.1 cars guide needs company from these four.
- Update 1.69, April 23, 2026 ("PP Challenges"). Yangwang U9 '24, a 1,286 bhp Chinese electric hypercar and the game's newest brand; the Porsche 911 Turbo S Leichtbau (964) '93 in the Legend dealer; and the Renault Twingo '93 in the used lot. Also ten new engine swaps, including the McLaren F1 GTR's V12 into a Lexus LFA. Yes, really, see the engine swap list.
- Update 1.68: March 12, 2026. Chevrolet Camaro '69 Race-Mod, Mazda ɛ̃fini RX-7 Type R (FD) '91 and Renault Captur S Edition TCe 140 '21. One for the muscle crowd, one for the rotary faithful, one for... school runs, I suppose.
- Update 1.67, January 29, 2026. Three cars headlined by Xiaomi's GT7 debut, the phone maker's first appearance in the game.
Before that, the Spec III update (1.65, December 4, 2025) added eight cars and two tracks in one drop, the biggest single expansion since Spec II.
My picks from the current list
Don't try to collect all 579, chase the ones that teach you something. Starting out, buy cheap and momentum-focused; my best starter cars guide still applies. For road driving, the picks in best road cars hold up, and if you just want speed, the fastest cars list covers the silly end.
My personal three from the current roster: the Mazda 787B (nothing else sounds like it), the McLaren MP4/4 '88 (the closest GT7 gets to my old single-seater life), and now the Porsche 963, the physics of a modern hybrid prototype done properly. All three are better with a wheel; check which wheels work with GT7 before you spend credits on anything.
FAQ
How many cars does GT7 have right now?
579 cars as of update 1.70 (June 11, 2026), 570 standard cars, 3 special editions and 6 from paid DLC, spread across 76 manufacturers. At launch in March 2022 there were 424.
Are there F1 cars in GT7?
Yes. The McLaren MP4/4 '88 arrived back in update 1.20, and the game also has Super Formula single-seaters and the fictional F1500T-A. Full breakdown in my GT7 F1 cars guide.
Do GT7 car prices change?
Used Car Dealership and Legend Car Dealership prices fluctuate with real-world auction data, and stock rotates constantly. Brand Central prices are fixed. That's why this list no longer quotes a price per car, half of them would be wrong by next month.
Can you sell cars in GT7?
Yes, through the Car Valuation Service, with limits. Here's how selling cars works.
When is the next GT7 update?
Nothing official as of writing (July 17, 2026). Polyphony's recent cadence suggests update 1.71 lands mid-to-late summer, and the community expects more road cars after two racing-heavy drops.
