This page is the SOLOX iRacing GT3 setup database. Back when this site ran a setup shop, some of these files were paid downloads. They're all free now, each one on its own page with the driving notes I'd give you if we shared a garage.

One honest thing before you download anything: these setups were built in the 2021–2022 seasons, mostly around the Mercedes AMG GT3. iRacing doesn't stand still — the sim gets a new build every 13 weeks and the GT3 BoP moves weekly now. So treat every file here as a working baseline, not a plug-and-play hotlap setup. Further down I'll tell you exactly what still transfers in 2026 and what you need to re-check.

The free iRacing GT3 setups, track by track

I've grouped these by track character, because that's how setup thinking actually works — the car wants similar things at similar circuits.

The aero tracks

Long straights into fast, committed corners. The setup game here is downforce efficiency: how much wing you can strip off before sector 2 punishes you.

  • Mercedes AMG GT3 Spa setup — my reference track. Everything from Les Combes to Stavelot rewards a stable aero platform; I run more rear wing here than most people expect.
  • Audi R8 LMS GT3 Spa setup — same circuit, mid-engine answer. The R8 carries its speed through Pouhon differently than the Merc.
  • Mercedes AMG GT3 Monza setup — the lowest-wing circuit on the calendar. The trick is keeping the car alive over the kerbs at the two Lesmos while trimmed out.
  • Mercedes AMG GT3 Silverstone setup — Copse and Maggotts-Becketts are the whole lap. If the car isn't planted at high speed, no setup trick saves your sector 2.

The technical ones

Shorter laps, more rotation needed, more time won in slow and medium corners.

The American rounds

The old shop also had a Nürburgring file that didn't survive the site migration. The GT4 and ACC databases are being rebuilt next — everything lands in the setups hub as it comes back.

How to install these setups

Download the file from the setup page, then drop it into your iRacing setups folder — by default that's Documents/iRacing/setups, with one subfolder per car. Load it in the sim through the garage screen.

I've written this up properly twice: where iRacing setups go covers the folder structure, and how to install iRacing setups walks through the full process if it's your first time. If you want to see what a setup actually changed versus the baseline, here's how to compare setups.

Can you still use 2022 setups in 2026?

As baselines, yes. As finished setups, no. Here's the honest breakdown.

iRacing ships a new season build every 13 weeks, and the GT3 class gets touched almost every time. The 2026 Season 3 build alone (out June 16) made class-wide GT3 adjustments — aerodynamics, mass, power, and retuned traction control and ABS — and the July 14 patch followed up with further GT3 TC fixes. On top of that, BoP gets set at the start of each season and then adjusted weekly, track by track.

What still transfers from these files:

  • Balance direction. Which end of the car needs help at each track hasn't changed. Monza still wants minimum drag, Brands still wants rotation, Long Beach still wants compliance.
  • The philosophy in the driving notes. Where the lap time lives at each circuit is track knowledge, not patch knowledge.
  • Starting points for brake bias and diff behavior — close enough to cut your tuning time in half.

What you need to re-check in 2026:

  • Wing levels and ride heights. Aero maps have been adjusted in class-wide updates, so re-tune the aero balance rather than trusting the old numbers.
  • TC and ABS values. The electronics were specifically retuned in Season 3. Start from the garage baseline for those two settings and work from there.
  • Tire pressures. Multiple tire updates have shipped since these files were built. Check your temps and pressures over a full run before racing.

The GT3 class these setups grew up in

When I built these files, the GT3 roster was a handful of cars. In 2026 iRacing hosts eleven modern GT3s: the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 EVO (the newest, added in late 2025), Acura NSX GT3 EVO 22, Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II, BMW M4 GT3, Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R, Ferrari 296 GT3, Ford Mustang GT3, Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO, McLaren 720S GT3 EVO, Mercedes-AMG GT3 2020 and Porsche 992 GT3 R. The older Mercedes these setups were cut for lives on as legacy content.

On the current mid-2026 BoP, the Mercedes and the Mustang are the two cars to beat, with the Lamborghini, Porsche and Aston close behind. But BoP moves weekly — don't buy a car off one good week. My full rankings are in the best GT3 cars on iRacing, and if you're new to the class, start with how to get into iRacing's GT3 series.

Where setups actually matter: fixed vs open

Not every GT3 series lets you run custom setups. The Fanatec GT3 Challenge is fixed-setup — everyone runs the same car, with only small tweaks like brake bias open. The GT Sprint and endurance series run open setups, and that's where an archive like this earns its keep. IMSA multiclass is open too.

If you mostly race fixed, these files are still useful for practice — driving a well-sorted car teaches you what to feel for. But your race pace will come from your hands, your FFB settings and your consistency, not the garage.

What's next for SOLOX setups

SOLOX Setups is coming back. The plan is simple: the old archive goes free, patch-labeled, and the current-season stuff follows. Until then, if you need files built for this exact season and BoP window, I've reviewed the honest options in the best iRacing setup shops — no point pretending a 2022 file beats a current pro setup in an open-setup split.

FAQ

Where do iRacing GT3 setups go?

Documents/iRacing/setups, with one subfolder per car. Drop the file there and load it from the garage screen in the sim. Full walkthrough in where to put iRacing setups.

Do old iRacing GT3 setups still work in 2026?

They load and drive, but the class has had multiple rounds of aero, mass, power and electronics changes since 2022 — including class-wide updates in the 2026 Season 3 build. Use them as baselines and re-tune wings, ride heights, TC, ABS and pressures.

Is iRacing GT3 fixed or open setup?

Both exist. The Fanatec GT3 Challenge is fixed-setup, while the GT Sprint, endurance and IMSA series run open setups where custom files are allowed.

Which GT3 car should I buy in 2026?

On the current BoP the Mercedes-AMG GT3 2020 and Ford Mustang GT3 are the front-runners, and the BMW M4 GT3 is the most forgiving to learn in. BoP shifts weekly, so pick a car you enjoy driving — my reasoning is in the best GT3 cars on iRacing.
