This is the master archive of every free iRacing setup on SOLOX. Dallara F3, IndyCar and GT3 — 24 track and car combinations, each on its own page with the file and the driving notes to go with it.
Some history, because it explains what you're getting. These files date from when this site ran a setup shop, built in the 2021–2022 seasons when I was doing serious mileage in the sim between real-life race weekends. The shop is gone; the setups are free now. They're old, and I'll be straight with you further down about what that means in 2026 — but the track-by-track thinking in them doesn't expire.
Dallara F3 setups
The biggest section of the archive, and the one closest to my heart. I raced Dallara F3 machinery for real — the iRacing car is a newer generation than the chassis I drove, but it wants the same things: precision, commitment in high-speed corners, and a setup that lets you attack kerbs without the rear stepping out.
The fast ones
Low wing, high commitment. The lap time lives in how much speed you carry through the quick stuff.
- Monza — minimum drag, maximum kerb tolerance through the chicanes.
- Spa Francorchamps — Eau Rouge flat is a setup question before it's a bravery question.
- Suzuka — the first sector esses are the best corners in sim racing. The car needs a stable front end at speed.
- Road America — long straights, big braking zones, old-school flow.
- Sebring — fast but brutally bumpy. Compliance over stiffness, always.
The technical ones
Rotation and traction. These circuits punish understeer and reward a car you can place to the centimetre.
- Brands Hatch — Paddock Hill's compression is the whole setup brief.
- Okayama — tight, narrow, all about slow-corner rotation.
- Zandvoort — banked corners load the car in ways flat tracks don't.
- Laguna Seca — the Corkscrew gets the fame, but turn 6 uphill is where the time is.
- Montreal — stop-start, kerb-heavy, wall-of-champions honest.
- Interlagos — anti-clockwise, bumpy, traction out of the last sector decides the lap.
The big ones
- Bathurst — an F3 car across the Mountain is one of the great iRacing experiences. Respect the walls at Skyline.
- Nurburgring — the GP circuit, a proper all-rounder test.
IndyCar setups (Dallara IR18)
The IR18 is a different animal — heavier than the F3, huge power, and two completely different aero configurations depending on where you race it. That's why you can't carry one setup philosophy across the schedule: the low-downforce oval package and the road-course package are practically two different cars.
- Daytona — superspeedway trim, where straightline drag and stability in traffic are everything.
- COTA — road-course package, esses in sector 1 like Suzuka's but wider.
- Laguna Seca — road package again, and a very different lap in an IndyCar than in the F3.
GT3 setups
The GT3 files now live in their own dedicated database — the iRacing GT3 setup archive — with full driving notes per track and my honest read on what still transfers to the 2026 BoP. The quick links, if you just want the files:
- Mercedes AMG GT3: Spa, Monza, Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Zandvoort, COTA, Daytona, Long Beach
- Audi R8 LMS GT3: Spa
The original archive also listed a Mercedes Nürburgring file that didn't survive the site migration — if it resurfaces in a backup, it'll be restored here.
If you're deciding what to drive in the class, my current rankings are in the best GT3 cars on iRacing, and here's how to get started in iRacing's GT3 series if you're new.
How to install these setups
Every setup page has the file. Drop it into Documents/iRacing/setups, inside the subfolder for that car, then load it from the garage screen in the sim. I've covered this properly in where iRacing setups go and how to install iRacing setups. If you want to see exactly what a file changes against your current baseline, compare setups like this.
Are these setups still competitive in 2026?
Honest answer: as baselines yes, as finished setups no. iRacing ships a new build every 13 weeks, and the physics never sit still — the 2026 Season 3 build alone made class-wide GT3 changes to aero, mass, power and the TC/ABS tuning, with a follow-up patch in July touching the GT3 traction control again. The F3 and IR18 have had years of tire model and physics updates since these files were cut.
What still transfers: the balance direction at each track. Monza still wants minimum wing, Sebring still wants compliance, the Corkscrew still wants a car that's settled over crests. That's track knowledge, and it's most of what a setup is.
What to re-check before you race: tire pressures first, always — run ten laps and read the temps. Then wing levels and ride heights, because aero maps have moved. In the GT3, reset TC and ABS to the garage baseline and work from there, since the electronics were specifically retuned in Season 3. And if you're racing a fixed-setup series — iRacing runs fixed variants for the F3, IndyCar and GT3 alike — none of this matters anyway: the file is locked, so spend your time on your hands, not the garage.
What's next for the archive
SOLOX Setups is coming back — the plan is the old archive free and patch-labeled, then current-season files on top. Everything lands in the setups hub as it's rebuilt. Until then, if you need files built for this exact season and BoP window, I've reviewed the honest options in the best iRacing setup shops — a 2022 file won't beat a current pro setup in an open split, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise.
FAQ
Are iRacing setups free?
These ones are. Every file in this archive is a free download on its own setup page — they were paid products when this site ran a shop, and they're free now. Plenty of shops sell current-season setups; the good ones are in my setup shop rankings.
Where do iRacing setups go?
Documents/iRacing/setups, in the subfolder named after the car. Load the file from the garage screen in the sim. Full walkthrough in where to put iRacing setups.
Do old iRacing setups still work?
They load and drive fine — iRacing doesn't break old files. But physics, tires and (for GT3) BoP have all moved since 2022, so treat them as baselines: keep the balance direction, re-tune pressures, wings and electronics.
Which cars does this archive cover?
Three: the Dallara F3 (13 tracks), the Dallara IR18 IndyCar (3 tracks), and GT3 machinery — Mercedes AMG GT3 across 8 tracks plus an Audi R8 LMS file, all indexed in the GT3 setup database.
