rFactor 2 does not show you one clean track list. Some tracks are paid DLC on the Steam store, some are free on the Steam Workshop, and then there are hundreds of mods on top. The old version of this page mixed them all together, and that does not help anybody.
So here is the official list only, in three parts: paid DLC, free tracks from Studio 397, and free tracks from ISI, the first developer of the sim. I checked it on 5 October 2026. It comes to 75 official tracks.

One note on the count. Loch Drummond is in both free lists, as an ISI version and a Studio 397 version, and I count them as two because they are two downloads. Many tracks also have more than one layout, so the number of layouts you can race is far higher than 75.
Mods are not in this number. With mods you get past a few hundred tracks easily, which is where the big numbers you see around the internet come from.

These are the 20 circuits you buy on the Steam store. Most of them are in more than one pack, so check the packs before you pay for a single track.

7 street circuits made for the Formula E cars. Six of them come in the Formula E Pack. London came later, in the 2022 Q4 Pack.

They are narrow, slow and full of walls. They are fun with the electric cars and not much use with anything else.

I come from karting, so I will say this: these are real tracks that real kart drivers race on, and that is rare in a sim. Zuera, Wackersdorf and Adria are tracks you find on international karting calendars, and PFI is the best known kart track in the UK.
KartSim also sells a professional package of its own for rFactor 2. The latest one, from May 2026, covers ten kart tracks in the Middle East and Asia and costs £499. That is training software for kart drivers and teams, not normal DLC, so I keep it out of the count.

Do not skip this list because it is free. Zandvoort has seven layouts, Indianapolis has five with the oval and the road course, and Lime Rock Park is one of the best short tracks to learn a car on.

Image Space Incorporated built rFactor 2 before Studio 397 took it over, and its tracks are still on the Workshop. There are 17.

Some names here are not what you expect. Belgium 1966 is the old long Spa, Bathurst 2014 is Mount Panorama, Montreal 2000 is the Canadian Grand Prix track, and Jacksonville and Mountain Peak are ovals. They look older than the Studio 397 tracks, but they drive well.
The newest track: Zolder
Circuit Zolder came out on 26 August 2025. It was built by Frederick Alonso, a well known member of the rFactor 2 community, and published by Studio 397 under its Third Party Approved programme. It is the first new car circuit in the sim for a long time.
I could not confirm the price from the announcement, so check the store page before you count on it being free.
Which tracks I would get first
If you are new to the sim, do it in this order.
- Download the free ones. Zandvoort, Lime Rock Park, Indianapolis, Bathurst 2014 and Portland give you weeks of driving for nothing.
- Buy the Track Expansion Pack. Nürburgring with the Nordschleife, Le Mans, Sebring and Circuit d'Azur. These are the tracks rFactor 2 is known for, and Sebring with its bumps shows what the tyre model of this sim can do.
- Add Spa and Monza. They are in the Formula Pro Pack and in the LMVS 2022 Pack. If you like endurance cars, look at the LMVS pack first, because it also has Le Mans, Sebring and Bahrain.
- Then go by taste. The British Track Pack if you like touring cars, the Reiza Track Pack for Imola and VIR, the kart packs if you race karts.
On every one of these tracks the surface changes while you drive. rFactor 2 puts rubber on the racing line as cars go round, and rain washes it off again. A green track on Friday and a rubbered track in the race are not the same, and you have to adapt your braking points. That is how it is at a real track too, and few sims do it this well.
How to get the tracks
Paid tracks. Open the rFactor 2 page on the Steam store and scroll down to the items available for the game. The DLC is split into tracks, track packs, cars and car packs. Buy it there and it installs by itself.
Free tracks. Open the Steam Workshop for rFactor 2, find the track and press Subscribe. Start the sim and it installs the track.
Mods. Same Workshop, same button. Anybody can upload there, so read the comments and the rating first. My rFactor 2 mods guide goes through how to pick good ones.
