Looking for the best and most realistic Fanatec wheel settings to race on Automobilista 2?
If you’re specifically using a CSL DD or CSL Elite wheel, then you’re in luck – we’ve got the perfect settings for you right here.
We’ve spent plenty of time tweaking and testing different settings to find what I think is the best combination of realism and responsiveness, and we’re sharing them here with you.
As you can imagine, having the most realistic wheel settings will make a pretty big difference to your performance, mainly thanks to the increased precision.
With more precision, you’ll therefore make fewer mistakes and your lap times will improve as a consequence.

First things first – make sure that your calibration wheel settings are set properly.
In fact, before changing our Automobilista 2 in-game settings we will actually need to go through the Fanatec dashboard to calibrate the wheel and FFB properly.
Here are our recommended wheel settings for your Fanatec wheel:
These are the values you’ll need to set for the CSL DD:
- SEN = Aut
- FF = 100
- FFS = Peak
- NDP = 25
- NFR = Off
- NIN = Off
- INT = 4
- FEI = 100
- FOR = 100
- SPR = 100
- DPR = 100
- BLI = Based on preference (Default)
- SHO = 100
- BRF = Based on preference (Default)
Here’s what you’ll need to set for the CSL Elite:
- SEN = Aut
- FF = 100
- SHO = 100
- BLI = Default
- DRI = -02
- FOR = 100
- SPR = 100

Automobilista 2 Fanatec FFB Settings (CSL DD & CSL Elite)
Now that we’ve calibrated our Fanatec wheel properly, it’s time to move on to the in-game settings.
We’ve spent some time researching and testing them and we’re now happy to share them with you.
These are our recommended Fanatec CSL DD and ECS Elite settings for Automobilista 2:
Configuration
In Options > Controls > Configuration:
- Steering deadzone = 0
- Steering sensitivity = 40
- Brake deadzone = 0
- Brake sensitivity = 40
- Clutch deadzone = 5
- Clutch sensitivity = 30
Force Feedback
In Options > Controls > Force Feedback:
- Type = Custom
- Gain = 70
- Low Force Feedback = 0
- FX = 0
- Damping = 0
As you can see we’ll want to run zero deadzones for both steering and pedals because deadzones tend to be quite unrealistic and bad for lap time performance.
Instead in terms of sensitivity we generally prefer running average settings since they usually offer the best balance of realism and responsiveness.
Conclusion
So here were our recommended Fanatec wheel and FFB settings for Automobilista 2.
We hope you found them helpful and that they help you to improve your performance on the track!
Good luck and we’ll see you on track! 🙂
