So you want to enhance your whole experience with Automobilista 2, I would say changing your wheel and FFB settings is definitely one of the first places to start.

In this post, we will present to you some of the best settings that we have come up with the most realistic simulation.

The steering tend to be quite easy as you will have proper force feedback from the steering, and you will intuitively understand what the car is accomplishing especially in regards to grip, mechanical and aerodynamical aspects.

Additionally, we will show you the right ways to adjust your wheel settings for optimal performance in your simulation.

Most realistic Automobilista 2 FFB Settings

Here are the settings that we recommend for getting the most realistic force feedback in Automobilista 2:

  • Gain = 70
  • Low Force Boost = 30
  • FX = 30
  • Damping = 20
  • Menu Spring Strength = 40

So as you can see, we do recommend a rather high setting for the gain with low damping and medium force boost.

This is because we need to make certain that you are given the appropriate feedback, you need to feel the wheel helping you understand the situation regarding the movements of the car.

We also advise leaving the damping setting under 25, this will likely minimize chatter and make the car feel more stable.

What’s the best Gain setting?

The ideal gain setting for wheel rotation is about 70. You will have a robust force feedback meaning that you can sense the car much more.

In case the wheel feels too sensitive and hard to use, you might want to try and set the gain to between 60 and 50

What’s the best Low Force Boost setting?

If the low force boost seems too high you can set it’s low range between 25 and 35. This will offer you a with great importance feedback which helps a person feel the activity of the car.

If the wheel rotation becomes hard then try subduing the low booster to a range between 10-20.

What’s the best FX setting?

As in this case, we would advocate for a low or a minimum FX setting about 30. As its essential to determine accurately the force feedback so you’re aware of what to expect from the steering wheel in terms of the car’s grip.

What’s the Menu Spring Strength?

The menu spring strength is a degree of force required to move through menus in the game. Setting it low will force you to use the wheel continuously and at higher levels it becomes annoying.

The other recommendation is to modify it to around 40, in other words strong enough to not be ignored, but not strong enough to become a distraction.

General Automobilista 2 wheel setting tips

So let’s have a look at some general tips that should help you find the sweet spot for your Automobilista 2 wheel and FFB settings:

  1. Always start with the gain at 70 and work your way down from there.
  2. If you find that the wheel is too twitchy or difficult to control, then lower the low force boost.
  3. If you want a more realistic force feedback, then lower the FX setting.
  4. If you find that the wheel is too stiff or harsh, then increase the damping.
  5. If you want a stronger force feedback when you’re in the menus, then increase the menu spring strength.
