In your hunt for the current best setups in Nascar Heat 5, did you come across any good ones at all?
It’s no secret how important it is to have a perfect NASCAR Xfinity configuration in NH5 especially on such a challenging track as Martinsville Speedway.
If you want to break into the mid 19s then it makes sense to adhere to a tight car build that will offer maximum chances of success.
You will want a negative 4.5 camber in the front right as this is a bad offset that has a positive 6.0 degrees in the front left.
That positive camber on the front left will help you a lot with the initial rotation phase whereas the negative one on the right wheel will increase the mid-corner rolling phase where there is the most lateral tire loading.
You will want a pretty soft front swaybar of about 1.435° since it will enable a good amount of turn-in on entry whilst still preventing the rear from being too far adrift on the apex.
In a way especially for this track people should bear in mind that it is important not to have too much oversteer in the car since the track might be oval and it might become difficult to stay within the proper racing line here at Martinsville.
Indeed, you might want to lower the rear above the axles’ height a little so as to avoid oversteering in case there is some. In this gearing, you would want to work with 3 gears and a rear end with 5.43 gearing. But do ensure you get a good draft as this can help shave off a few tenths in your lap times.
