So having said that, let’s dive right in!
Thrustmaster settings
The first step to get the best FH4 wheel settings will require you to adjust the T300, TX and TMX wheels from the Thrustmaster software dashboard.
That’s because the default settings are often not a great fit for he game, and can cause your car to react in an unpredictable way.
Here are our recommended wheel settings for your Thrustmaster T300, TX and TMX:
- Rotation = 900°
- Constant = 100%
- Periodic = 100%
- Spring = 100%
- Damper = 0%
- Auto center = By the game
Now that we’ve configured our Thrustmaster wheel, let’s move on to the in-game settings of Forza Motorsport 7.
What are the best Thrustmaster settings for Forza Motorsport 7?
Our recommended Forza Motorsport 7 advanced controls are:
- Steering axis deadzone inside = 0
- Steering axis deadzone outside = 100
- Acceleration axis deadzone inside = 0
- Acceleration axis deadzone outside = 100
- Deceleration axis deadzone inside = 0
- Deceleration axis deadzone Outside = 100
- Clutch axis deadzone inside = 15
- Clutch axis deadzone outside = 90

- Vibration scale = 50
- Force feedback scale = 65
- Wheel rotation angle = 900°
- Steering linearity = 50
- Force feedback understeer = 25
So as you can see most of the deadzone settings are pretty similar with near zero values for the inside axis and 100 for the outside.
The only exception is the clutch which we’ve set to 15 for the inside and 90 for the outside.
This will give you a more realistic and progressive clutch pedal feel.
The other main setting to change is the vibration scale which we’ve reduced to 50%.
This is to prevent your wheel from vibrating excessively and causing an uncomfortable feel during long races.
